Tesla cyber trucks are so ugly

Anonymous
I’m seeing them everywhere / they all seem to be the same blah color and look like futuristic armored vehicles … what is the appeal?
Anonymous
Everywhere? I've seen like maybe 5 in the wild.

I'd be so embarrassed to drive one

I've seen a few in Bethesda. They're even FUGLIER up close. Not surprisingly, the owner of one of these is the entitled, lax, parent of my daughter's least academic and most entitled classmate. That's who buys Cybertrucks, OP. People with more money than brains.

Agreed. I see them everywhere in McLean and Arlignton. They are hideous, and I’d be embarrassed to own one.
Anonymous
Totally ugly and some places are dropping insurance on them.

Agree

I’ve seen a handful of them in my area, and it seems like they’d appeal to two different demographics. Tech bros trying to look cool and d**chy people who have a “hey look at me” mentality.

Armadillo trucks

They are the Hummer H1s of the 2020s. So stupid.

Now that my eye is adjusted, I’m fine with them. I’d never buy one or date someone who did but there are a lot of people all of us wouldn’t date! To each their own, even if it’s a dumb car.

OP

Ha ha - new online dating screen question - “do you and would you ever own a Tesla cyber truck?”

That was a great response /

Good to know I am not alone in finding them unsightly but you are right - they are not that bad once you get used to seeing them. I just pretend I am in a Mad Max 4 meets the Jetsons episode … so it is good for our imaginations on the road!

I might be tempted to argue that tech bros trying to look cool *are* d**chey people who have a "hey look at me" mentality. Or at least a subset thereof.

I think they were designed by someone who had a hard on for DeLoreans back in the 80s and decided to put it on steroids. Not in a good way though.

Sorry, no, I will never adjust, just like I will never adjust to recreational Hummer use. Some things are beyond the bounds of harmonious esthetics.
These owners are going for the shock factor, or else they have no taste at all.

I love that Geico won’t insure them because they are so poorly made lol
