Jane Wickline won’t make it. She can’t act even in small roles and her featured song during weekend update last night wasn’t good at all. |
I was shocked by her lack of acting ability. Was she nervous? Something else? There must be something about her that made the producers offer her a role but i didn’t see it from last nights episode. I can only imagine she’ll get better.
I miss Punkie Johnson - I wish she hadn’t left. |
Vance:
not sure about that one |
She was terrible last week as well. She can’t act and she has a flat delivery. Zero charisma. |
Are the Please Don't Destroy guys gone too? |
What the hell was that song?
She looks like a deer in headlights. |
She felt like peak Gen X to me for some reason |
Argh. Gen Z!! |
I thought Jane Wickline’s song was really clever. And I’m 45, so not a generational thing? Her brand is to be awkward and rambling. |
Well, I hope it gets funny |
I think Jane Wickline has a style, but it might not be broad enough to work for multiple seasons. She might wind up being better off as a writer...pretty sure she did the water slide sketch. I thought the song was funny but a bit long. It seemed like it could have been a good music video if they'd produced it that way--better than just having her come on weekend update and played it. Certainly it wouldn't have been dumber than the sushi glory hole one!

That’s actually sooo on purpose. You lived the song more or less ![]() Agreed, it would have made a good digital short, but that bandwidth was sucked up by the D in a box callback sushi skit… |
Crazy talk. Hear me out...I love Lonely Island. I thought it was great to see them again and laughed quite a bit. |
+1 pretty flat |
Love me some Lonely Island (we’re on a boat!), true. |
