How is this relevant to the age change discussion?

This is true… Also ECNL is going to 9/1 in 26/27 so why even have this forum? Unless we all just need a place to vent.

Here is the reason: we are all waiting to hear if US Club, USYS and AYSO make "transitional rules" for 25/26. Many assume literally nothing will change until 26/27. But most of those are people who want everything to stay the same for 18 months. My guess is there is a joint statement on transitional rules in the next month or two.

I am a SY person that wants everything to change in 25/26. ECNL is not making any changes until 26/27. It’s so dumb for so many reasons, but it’s just the facts confirmed by an ECNL board member. I do agree with the people that say if that’s the case, why hasn’t ECNL just come out to officially announce that, beyond the US Club statement.

Someone already leaked an email from ECNL they are announcing in a few months 9/1 starting 26/27. Look at the so called forum.

The current issue is people are assuming ECNL is going to make concessions and change early, which they are not. They are losing players because of the wait time and lame duck year. We’ll hop over to GA until they officially change to School Year in 26/27.

sure pal. "well hop over to GA" ...give me $100 on things that won't happen. lmao GA hats

If anything, GA has left their future plans more uncertain, which is a turn off. If you go to an ECNL or USYS club, you at least have some idea of what you'll face in 26-27.

It’s only uncertain if you need them to tell you they’re business as usual. No offense, but you’re not that important, they’re not going to send out a press release saying “we’re still in business” ever morning, why would expect them to send out one saying “nothing has changed.”

The member orgs that made changes announced their changes…that’s how things work.

This makes no sense. You're saying that their silence indicates some certainty of staying BY. In the face of a major announcement by US Soccer that leagues will be able to choose for themselves, there is uncertainty around every league until they affirm a change OR staying as-is. Silence would normally indicate they are continuing business as usual, but you're ignoring that the landscape has changed due to the US Soccer announcement. Maybe you're just wishing that GA stays BY?

Where is the guidance from USSF? We are supposed to be getting a webpage designed to keep track of leagues and what their registration process will be. I highly doubt that MLSN/GA are going to be exempt from that.

Wow, just checked that MLSN/GA thread, and you're right, at least one BY person is losing his/her mind over this.
