I actually thought it added another layer to him. He seems more passive in the work envt but he takes on the "dominant" role in his relationship. Its not my thing but it did make me think about him in a different way. Just like we got to see all the characters "let their hair down" in their street clothes at the end. |
DP you are wrong. My child has epilepsy that was obviously not caused by PTSD or stress. Their neurologist said the main trigger for a seizure would be lack of sleep and stress. |
My original point stands. The initial comment way back when was only about her having PTSD and mentioned nothing about epilepsy. That poster had no idea about her epilepsy. The seizures could be bought on by stress, but the seizure itself is not a PTSD episode. How do you not understand that? |
That is exactly my point. Her initial condition, epilepsy, was not caused by PTSD. The PP had no idea it was epilepsy. All of the speculation about her episodes were based on PTSD only, and now we know that is not true. She had a much deeper condition that began in childhood. |
I understood her tears to be around fear for any undocumented family members/friends and disappointment in America. |
No one is saying that her epilepsy was caused by stress or PTSD. But her seizures had been under control and the fact that she is having breakthrough seizures is caused by stress (stress caused by/related to ptsd). |
The original quote from earlier in the thread stated she was having a dissociative episode due to PTSD. It was speculation at that point. That poster was wrong. She was actually having en epileptic seizure at that point. |
| Also loved the dead guy in chairs! |
| I didn’t quite get the Digby thing at the end - why would he have Whittaker’s badge? What was he doing with it? |
Interpretive dance |
+1 I liked it. Showed him as a family guy. |
| I thought that Whitacre had been convinced by Santos and then Dr Robby to detach from the farm widow and family- I was confused why his ending was embedded with them. |

Isa Briones has an interview in Rolling Stone (I’m linking to Reddit because no paywall). It’s very interesting and she speaks to both the misogyny directed to her character and how similar Santos and Langdon really are. There’s lots more there and it’s a very interesting read.

What? No.... |
Isa wants a Santos/Langdon friendship too! I’ve been saying this all along! Here’s her direct quote: I want to see some interesting growth with her and Langdon. Maybe they’re not at each other’s throats anymore. There’s this moment in [Episode 14] where he laughs at my joke behind me. Clearly, they should be friends. They should be at the club. |
