Was the proposal to move Forestville ES into the Herndon pyramid addressed in this latest round of meetings at all?

It doesn’t seem like that was a serious proposal, more just a large series of misunderstandings. It wasn’t on scenario 3 on the maps so it doesn’t seem like it’s going to be happening. At least not at this point, who knows what they’ll try 5-10 years in the future.

Was there anything new? Hadn't we seen all this before?

Are BRAC members able to attend by zoom? I'd be ticked if I had to go to meetings just to see reruns.

Interesting that the slides refer to an "Analysis of Advisory Committee Boundary Change Priorities" as a "separate document" that is not attached. So basically the only document that really would be of any interest is being kept from the public.

They are just continuing to slice and dice information from their earlier "Scenario 3" recommendations that were met with overwhelming opposition. It's complete garbage.

FCPS is truly run by idiots.

I am so confused. This work up is using maps
We have already seen right!? But didn’t hey say the maps would be changing? So does this even matter!? I’m getting lost in The weeds here

Do they not realize that this is one of the most important concerns of parents of children? Where are they going to school?

And, I looked at some of the comments again.
Do they not understand what they are doing with Coates? Someone commented on how many people are using the trailer bathrooms. Incredible.

Yes there will be new maps but not until “mid October.” So anything between now and then is meaningless.

Thru Consulting is just playing with themselves right now. I worry they'll go blind.

That region 5 priority is now dead in the water.

What is the takeaway? People don’t want people to change, don’t care about islands, etc. shocker.

I was also confused. The transportation part of the slides is based on scenario of three of the old maps which the school board already said were flawed. But they use those for this study?

I am a consultant and we would not earn contracts if this was our performance - the timing of the steps is ineffective, building it as they go, etc…board over their heads and thru not helping. What a mess.

Why all the meetings in September if the new maps won't be released until October? Serious question, I don't understand.

They have made a mess and don't know what to do about it. That's your answer.

Everyone: please write to SB members and Reid again ASAP to express dissatisfaction, confusion, etc. over this latest "update."
