Mass Deportation: this is going to be expensive

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) plans to pull out of so-called “sanctuary cities,” including Seattle.

The SBA said it will relocate six of its regional offices “currently in municipalities that do not comply with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.” Those offices are in Seattle, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver and New York City.

“Over the last four years, the record invasion of illegal aliens has jeopardized both the lives of American citizens and the livelihoods of American small business owners, who have each become victims of Joe Biden’s migrant crime spree,” Administrator Kelly Loeffler said in a news release Thursday. “Under President Trump, the SBA is committed to putting American citizens first again – starting by ensuring that zero taxpayer dollars go to fund illegal aliens.”

What SBA? I thought Musk fired them all and closed all the offices? Like he has done to all the other of our government services?

Several hundred employees at SBA were illegally fired. I haven't heard if any have had their firing rescinded. Yet.

Illegal border crossings at 15-year low under new Trump administration, White House says

37,660 migrants had been deported in Trump's first month, putting the new administration behind Biden's monthly average of 57,000.

Loser say what?

Check out BostonTok today. Apparently ICE promises they are coming for Boston and, well, Boston does what Boston does...

The Republicans across the country grilling Mayor Wu of Boston were so ignorant it was cringe inducing.

Trump is claiming undocumented immigrants are causing massive increases in crime in major cities.

Boston has their lowest crime rate in decades.

Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox said the 24 murders that happened last year were the lowest amount since at least 1957. Gunfire was at its lowest level since the city began reliably tracking it in 2011. Violent crime as a whole fell 2%, despite a 3% increase in aggravated assaults mainly attributable to domestic violence, Cox said.

There has been a rise in shoplifting in all of the cities but immigrants are not the culprits.

So Republicans need to worry about their own states and leave the successful ones alone.

First, this is going to take years to construct, and will line government contractors pockets with the overhead. Second, US citizens will be responsible for housing, food and transportation costs during the time period for adjudication. It seems like this set up is aimed to further privatize the deportation process at an enormous expense to American taxpayers.

Why is this more viable than having immigrants work while awaiting adjudication? Increase tracking capabilities and require employers of immigrants to maintain information on them. It will cost a fraction of the money used to construct and maintain these facilities.

Just amazing how trump is able to stop the invasion and Biden said there was nothing he could do!!!!!!

It was always just a way to monetize deportation and put money into the pockets of Trump 's billionaire friends. Everything Trump does is a fraud and always was and will be.

FCPS spent $260 million on ESOL services in the past two fiscal years. Kids have been showing up from the border in our children's classrooms for the past four years not speaking a word of English. I the border had been controlled we wouldn't need those funds.

You do realize that the money came from the feds, right? The feds reimburse all of those costs through Title 3. It's not the local county that was paying for it. Just letting you know that this has nothing to do with the budget shortfall. Fairfax County has had shortfalls before. Remember when they were going to cut all the music programs in the elementary schools? That was not very long ago.

ALL those costs? You sure? If it's anything like Title 1 funding (for poor students), it's very low.

If a democrat doesn't like it, it must be illegal.

The probationary firings were all illegal.

Republicans have said that Musk is doing illegal things. They aren't going to stop him, they'll leave that to the courts. This was a couple weeks ago though, before the entire world has joined in hatred of Musk, including firebombs and effigies.

Yep - It's the Trump administration, of which Musk is part, doing illegal things, and the Republicans responsible for checks and balances and oversight over Trump's administration have been abdicating their role and have been LETTING Trump and Musk do illegal things, so they too are complicit in the illegality.

They're firebombing Tesla dealerships at night, when no one is there.

You want to defend a Tesla dealership with lethal force? You are not on the side of the angels.

Hey, actions have consequences.

Maybe don't behave in such a shitty way that gets people so irritated that they would want to firebomb your businesses in the first place?

YA THINK?

Keep f'ing around, keep finding out.
