training for energy, speed and dribbles

DC9 is low muscle tone. He also has a ton of energy due to adhd hyperactive, but he does not have much energy & strength when he is on soccer field. He loves soccer, and he has played for a few years. He has my small bone structure like I do for now. DH is a big & tall guy. DH told me that he was a small boy but he became a bigger guy with board shoulder & sturdy around middle school age. He was in cross county team in high school & basketball team in high school. He knows nothing about soccer, and neither I do. DC is not interested in cross county or basketball.

How do one train for higher energy, faster speed and dribble? Is that just for daily practice by himself or have to be with someone professional?

Look up SAQ excercises. Most you can do at home and are easy to setup.

That being said, if we're talking about a 9 year old, you're not going to see a ton of value, but its good to setup good habits and technique early on.

Do Sprints.
Mark off 40 yards and time your kid doing the 40 yard dash. Use a stopwatch.

Mark the start and finish lines.
Do a set of 4 sprints and write down the fastest time. Do this 3x per week for 4 weeks.

Write your fastest time down each day.
You may see up to .5 to 1 full second of improvement after just a month.

Look at sprinting form also. It takes speed training to get faster speed. Don't worry about weights. Wait at least 90 seconds in between each of the 4 sprints. This will develop fast twitch muscle fiber the best.

You will see a speed improvement.

My DS was in the same boat. Primary care doctor prescribed something called boldenone. Worked wonders. DS is now one of the fastest and strongest on the team. Highly recommend.

Thanks for SAQ exercise & sprinting suggestion. I think it is for laugh, and no, we won't do any steroid medication for this.

My son was low muscle tone and very uncoordinated. We enrolled him in Ninja kid classes at a crossfit gym and it helped his strength and coordination enormously. I also think summer swim team helped.

Yes. Just go to the loading dock behind the fishmarket in Deanwood and ask for Tommy's juice. Don't being your phone....or your kids.

Around 8 years ago, I set up a wheel of pain in my basement. Pulled my DS out of school, handcuffed him to it and now he is jacked. His teammates call him the Barbarian. All your DD needs is a training regimen and to stick with it. Gains will follow.
