Stop Judging and Disrespecting All Republican and Conservative Policies and Values

I'm a moderate conservative Republican-leaning individual.
I'm a professional working female 50+.
I'm a first generation American whose parents legally immigrated here and fully assimilated, learned the language...one parent earning their GED here and finally when I was 13 one became a full US citizen. They came here with nothing. They were proud...they didn't go on welfare, they didn't get any handouts. They worked hard and sacrificed to put their two kids through college...without any college debt.

They were among a wave of legal immigrants in the mid to late 70s...who followed the same paths...worked hard, sacrificed and bettered not only themselves but society. Became hard-working citizens whose 1st generation kids also became hard-working citizens...and so on.

The majority of us are all Republican-leaning with Conservative Policies and Values.

We all immigrated from a socialist country and while some have retired there (with the wealth they made here in the US).
We know the pros and cons of universal healthcare. We know the benefits...but we also know the disadvantages.
We know that while the US isn't perfect, we'd still be better off here. We go back and visit our country but we know if we ever went back we'd have to be able to afford the private care/private clinics rather than depend on the universal healthcare system where for a simple cyst removal you have to wait months and then travel 3-4 hrs to a town with a hospital that can do the procedure..even though you live in the capital city of your region with a public hospital.

We see what happens when a flood of illegal immigrants to a small country already struggling + the socialist regime of "free everything/subsidies" to everyone including the illegal immigrants and those who do not contribute to society does to a country. There's a reason that many countries facing these same struggles have similar "Trump" political parties on the rise....not as quickly as the US, but on the rise nonetheless.

Then we have this article: https://cmsny.org/how-europe-closing-doors-to-asylum-seekers/
Where do you stand on this? Are you the bleeding heart type...the "let them all in...damned the long-term consequences"?
How important to you is a country's national and cultural identity?

The only area where I personally deviate from the more far-right conservative values is when it comes to Roe v. Wade -- but tell me...why didn't the Dems during their many years in power ever codify it? And honestly, even during Roe v. Wade (which yes, should be brought back and codified) abortion was regulated.

In 1973, the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in Roe v. Wade recognized that the decision whether to continue or end a pregnancy belongs to the individual, not the government. Roe held that the specific guarantee of “liberty” in the Fourteenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which protects individual privacy, includes the right to abortion prior to fetal viability.

After the point of viability, the state could ban abortion or take other steps to promote its interest in protecting the fetus. Even after that point, however, abortion must be permitted to protect a patient’s life and health.

Roe had two key parts: First, the Court ruled that, before viability, it is a pregnant person’s decision—not the government’s—whether to continue a pregnancy. Accordingly, the government cannot ban abortion for any reason prior to viability.

So -- yes, I believe in a woman's right to abortion....prior to fetal viability just as Roe v. Wade had intended and only after fetal viability to protect patient's life and health. But that doesn't address the gray areas of rape/incest if after fetal viability. It's also become hard to pin down "fetal viability" as it's a moving target as medical technology improves. So to get everyone to all agree on a codified Roe Act it's going to take a lot of compromise from both sides. And if it is codified into law...what is the punishment for breaking the law?

All this to say...I'll probably vote for Harris but don't you dare judge me for my Republican and Conservative Policies and Values because they will not at all change even if I vote for Harris.

I will still be against illegal immigration. We need to put a full stop to illegal immigration to allow our infrastructure to catch up. And yes, we do to some degree need to deport -- not all...but illegal immigrants with a criminal records/repeat offenders. As for those still here...no amnesty/automatic citizenship. I know Dems want to solidify their votes by granting more amenesty but heck no. Temporary work visas should be issued to all illegal immigrants, ensure they pay taxes! No free healthare. No subsidies. They come here to work and earn money only. If they want to remain after their work visa is up they to apply for citizenship they way all other legal immigrants do...go back to country of origin and wait like everybody else. No automatic birthright citizenship if born in the US to illegal immigrants! That's the worst thing every done -- and definitely needs reform! See what other countries are doing: https://www.pbs.org/newshour/world/birthright-citizenship-regulations-europe

I will still be against full universal healthcare...it's not the answer unless, like Australia does its universal healthcare, it only applies to our country's US citizens and not to illegal immigrants. But that also doesn't mean we simply grant amnesty/citizenship to the illegal immigrants already here - that's wrong too.

I will still be against other extreme far-left liberal values and beliefs.

The only thing I will be for? I will still be for Roe v. Wade and the right to abortion prior to fetal viability as discussed above.

Accept it and Respect it. Stop judging it. Because I'm not ever going to fully support all of your far left policies and values.

I assume you wrote this here because no one IRL wants to listen to you, and I would say I'm sorry about that, but I guess sitting through your screed would count as a sort of social handout, so congratulations. You have what you deserve.

I have no problem with people sticking to actual conservative values. The issue I have is that the GOP USED to stand for those values and now it's just a cult of personality. So to the extent the leaders of the GOP refuse (by and large) to dissociate themselves and their party from MAGA, I feel very comfortable knocking Republicans.

FWIW. I think there are a lot of republicans and conservatives who will vote for Harris.

What many don’t respect is people voting for Trump who has shown himself to be unfit to be potus. We need to get back to robust policy discussions and compromise based on respect for other people who are different but patriotic Americans.

Ma'am, this is still a Wendy's. Thank you for your business, now move along.

I haven't read all of what you wrote, but let's make something perfectly clear: No one on the left saw any previous Republican nominee (save Palin) as absolute trash. Racist, bigoted trash who has no respect for this country AT ALL. No respect for institutions, no respect for the law, no respect for ELECTIONS. When McCain lost, he called Obama to congratulate him and told his supporters not to boo. What does Trump do? Be a petulant pile of sore loser dogsh*t. No one gives a damn if you are a "moderate Republican" or a conservative Republican or just a Republican or a moderate Dem or a liberal Dem or an Independent. If you support Trump, nothing else you have to say means anything at all. He is filth and a clown. Even Putin knows the man is a moron and malleable puppet. Same with Netanyahu.

TL; DR

I'm judging you because you can't write a concise statement on a message board.

Another TL;DR. You’re supporting it all. No one buys your moderate claims anymore because you are supporting extremism with your vote. You can dance around that, but if you’re voting for extremism… you are an extremist.

Maybe you should go back where you came from. Isn’t that what you would say to the immigrants you disparage in your rant. You obviously judge others but you don’t want to be judged by others? You can have your views and “values “ but you can’t force others to feel the same. You sound very intolerant.

So YOU are special and great and deserve to be an American, but all those OTHERS, no! They are dirty illegals.

We are all immigrants in this country, unless you are indigenous.

The important part of what I wrote...I'll probably vote for Harris, if I even vote at all.

Never once in my post did I say anything pro-Trump. I agree Trump is pretty horrible and doesn't know when to shut up.

My post was simply to say that while being anti-Trump/MAGA and voting for Harris I will still not change my Republican and Conservative Political Values and Beliefs and expect everyone to respect them. That's all

Everyone I know understands that you can be anti-Trump/anti-MAGA, vote for Harris, and still have Republican and Conservative Policies and Values.

Actually no...I'll vote for Harris if I vote at all. Nothing in my post was pro Trump/MAGA. Everyone I know understands that you can be anti-Trump/anti-MAGA, vote for Harris, and still have Republican and Conservative Policies and Values.
