| If I’m having weekday drinks or dinner, it’s typically professional or work related |
| Just say no and move on. You're making it an issue. |
| There’s always a poster like you |
| Frankly you sound like they're lucky they think of you at all. What a sadsack. |
| I’m the opposite. I wish more people would be willing to do things during the week so weekends could be family time. |
| Huh. Unless this is weekly, not sure I see why you are upset. |
| Next time, you plan the get together and make the reservation. |
|
We actually prefer to do drinks or dinner with a friend at 8pm (or later) once the kids are in bed. We can actually make that work.
All our friends without kids want to do dinner at 630pm! No bueno. |
Same here. |
Do you go to work the next day? |
Sorry you did not pick the SAHW/M path. |
| If you can make time for professional drinks why can’t you make time for personal drinks? |
| I will honestly go out any time of day or week I am invited if at all possible. Got up early to have coffee with my friend before work last week. |
| I’m a SAHM parent and can’t make weeknight drinks work! I’m driving kids to activities all a afternoon and evening. |
I wish more people were up for this! |
