When do you work out?

I really need to get into a routine. Before kids I could make time and workout but now it’s so much harder. I’ve done the exercise at night once kids sleep and also during my lunch breaks. I’m considering early morning workouts.

Curious what others do.

Generally evenings after dinner work best for me. Kids elem and up so don’t need constant supervision.

I have to do early morning. Sometimes lunch breaks.

Mostly lunch breaks and after work before the kids (daycare and lower elementary) arrive home with DH. Sometimes in the morning on the weekends before activities start.

My kids are in high school. They leave the house at 6:45, and I am out the door at 6:50. The times differed depending on their school start times/overall schedule (or even earlier daycare).

One kid in elementary and I work out roughly between 4-5.30 pm just before school pick up. My job is quite flexible though, I normally do not have meetings in the late afternoon and I can wrap up things after dinner if needed.

I do early morning workouts. I don't even need to be around for the kids anymore, it's just my normal now.

I take workout classes and usually go at 7:30am or lunchtime during the week. On weekends I go before noon.

Early morning. Been in this habit for more than two years now and it is the best way to start the day!

I have never been a morning person. With work and an infant, I’m stuck with evening. Not ideal, but better than nothing. I have found that working out at 9 is less disruptive to my sleep than 10 pm (in bed usually around midnight).

I am a teacher and have my own kids I need to get out the door so I workout in the evening. Around 6:00 or 6:30 class at the gym.

Early am is the only time that ever works because I work primarily in the office. During covid, I did a lot of lunchtime peloton which was great.
