Vance on tape bashing childless teachers, says they "brainwash & destroy the minds of children". What is wrong with him?

Vance with yet another hot take yet again caught on tape. Vance caught saying:
"I hate to be so personal about this, but there are people without kids who want to brainwash the minds of our children. That really disorients me, that really disturbs me. Randi Weingarten, who's the head of the most powerful teachers' union in the country, she doesn't have a single child. If she wants to brainwash and destroy the minds of children, she should have some of her own, and leave ours the hell alone." Wtf? Why is he so obsessed with judging people based on their ability to breed. You can be a teacher without being a parent because your job is to teach/lead not parent. You do however have to have empathy and be a human to teach. Not sure JD Vance would make the cut. Also, didn't Vance recently convert to Catholicism (from atheism)? Aren't there childless teachers in catholic schools pretty regularly (nuns, priests, etc.) who don't have kids? Is his political strategy now to piss off childless teachers as well as women and cat owners? |

A few of my son's best teachers were talented women and men who happen to not have kids. It is not a requirement for the job.
This guy is offensive and out of touch. I want him and his fringe, "handmaid's tale" opinions to get exiled by being resoundingly defeated this november at the ballot box! Tell him what we think of his offensive takes! |

The head of the teachers union he is referencing (Weingarten) is gay and that is why he is also coming after her. I bet he wouldn't come after some of the very childless priests and nuns who teach at parochial schools. But who knows?
Vance is a prejudiced weirdo with an unnatural obsession about women needing to breed to be considered legitimate. |

My sister has been a public school teacher for 20 years. Never had kids (she always wanted to but circumstances intervened). She has received numerous heartfelt letters from kids and families about the impact she's had on her students. Many still keep in touch. It breaks my heart that she'd read these hateful remarks from someone who is running to be her VP.
JD Vance doesn't speak for the majority of Americans. He speaks for the fringe. Vote him out. |

You have to understand that all of this is part of a larger right wing effort to shape society to a white, male, Christian dominated society. Destruction of public education is on the list, and single women and childless women are part and parcel of it as well. This is all about control. |
