So Bumble is supposed to be a platform to 'empower' women in the dating world. But the geniuses who invented this moronic platform overlooked the simple fact that the vast majority of women hate to be the ones who send messages first to a potential match. So they recently have been trying to come up with ways to avoid women actually having to message first. Most of the time it is now a woman who matches with you and she has her instagram handle in her bio and say something to the effect of..."i don't message first if you want to reach me try instagram".
This obviously defeats the entire purpose of the whole platform! Why should any man sign up and pay for this absurdity of all it amounts to is message womenon insta? Utterly incompetent company managment and the stupidest platform ever invented. If you're going to give women all of the power for selection and communication, then they better communicate and kick it off, otherwise why would any man waste money on this platform? |
This is the third Bumble hit piece that I’ve read today. They must have annoyed the wrong person. |
Or the person is ruminator |
Are these real women? The instagram handle and the way it is worded makes it sound like bots. |
It just sounds like you're not appealing to women, sorry. I have lots of friends that use Bumble (men) and they don't have this problem. |
I met my boyfriend on Bumble. I’m a woman. I messaged first. I never said to follow me on Instagram. Those are OnlyFans women trying to get you to pay for their sites and engagement. |
+1 if you see that it’s a dead giveaway that she’s a “professional” trying to get traffic to her paid sites. |
Yes. They're real. So many women never want to be the first to engage on these apps, but the apps are designed to give women all the power to initiate. So you see absurdities on platforms like bumble where a woman literally says in their profile something along the lines of "Will not measage first, please hit up my insta at this handle". It's mind warpingly stupid. Basically, no men should pay to use this platform to find dates. Just browse insta for free at this point. Utterly moronic company management and product designers. |
I met my H on Bumble. I had zero problem with messaging first. The issue was that most men don’t really have anything to message about - profiles are generic, sparse, negative, etc. I would only message men who had something worth talking about. My H was into birdwatching, I’m into birdwatching, so we connected over that.
Wanna post your profile here and we can give feedback? Based off your post I’m betting quite a bit of negativity comes across in your profile. Complaining isn’t sexy. |
Wrong. You are out of touch how this dumb platform works: https://www.npr.org/2024/05/06/1249296671/bumble-dating-apps-women-opening-moves Bumble is tying itself in gordian knots on trying to figure out how not force women to make the opening move while enhancing engagement. That's why their stupid company is taking. It just devolves into making men hit them up on other social media sites, defeating the entire purpose of the platform. |
Congrats, you messaged first. Stop thinking you represent all women. So many women never went to open first. That's why you have the absurdity now taking place on bumble and why the company is in the proverbial toilet tanking and not making any money. |
Except I get plenty of meetups on other apps. Bumble is just the stupidest platform out there. This is just a warning for other men not to waste their time or money on this worthless trash. |
Just a guess, but women probably aren’t messaging you because of your attitude. It’s terrible. |
Except they do on other platforms, so your hypothesis sucks. |
Yup for sure it’s the attitude. |
