He was running outside and masking while in the warm-up area. There are no Covid regulations for the spectators or athletes.
Impressive to run with Covid? Jerk move or not at all? If it was you, would you skip an Olympic race that you had trained for 4 years for? OR run anyway? |
He could have worn a 95 type mask in the warm up area and other indoor area and taken it off outside. He instead wore a surgical mask losely inconsistently while inside. |
| Of course you have to race. The show must go on. The Olympics are almost over anyway everyone is about to go home. |
| Running outdoors you say? Are you from 2021? |
| Covid is rampant right now amongst the athletes. Lots of them have it and they are going to compete regardless unless they are too sick. |
Are you saying surgical masks don't work? Is that why doctors wear them? |
| Impressive. |
| These are healthy young adults. A bit of a virus isn't going to stop them from competing in the biggest event of their lives. |
| There are probably so many athletes with Covid who aren't even masking at all |

It isn't impressive he ran with covid. I could do that. It's impressive he got medaled with covid. And of course he was going to compete. Anyone would in that situation. |
| Take a page from this. Everyone seriously needs to chill on Covid. It's a damn virus. All viruses suck and are risky but it's time to end the Covid stigma in 2024! On a global scale nobody cares. Those who do are the weirdos! |
| I would have run anyway. |
| They should not be able to compete if it risks being contagious to anyone else. Incredibly selfish and dangerous to everyone else. |
Says who? This is why we don’t put people like you, afraid of your own shadow, in charge. |
