What is the deal with these skinny houses in CCDC?

Anonymous
Calling those monstrosities is an understatement.

I know the neighbors are pissed. Nice interiors however.
Anonymous
It’s progress, grandpa. Deal with it
Anonymous
Oh wow those are ugly and stick out badly.

Who approved subdividing that lot? That’s crazy. is the shared driveway even legal? No backyard? Someone was bribed. They are cheap and hideous. Is that cladding eifs? I didn’t even think that was legal here. They were slapped up for sure. Buyers will be idiots if they get these. Ridiculous developer greed. The neighbors must be outraged.

They are very ugly. Maybe it’s legal to build these, not sure.

They don’t even have a garage. That he ridiculous lol.
Anonymous
Wow. Those houses are terribly ugly and $2.6M for that is crazy.
Anonymous
I suspect they hated their neighbors and wanted to tank their home value.

I suspect a developer offered them more money than they could get listing. The developer is going to make a fortune by subdividing the lots. They know that a SFH, no matter how narrow, is a much easier sell than a duplex, so they built these

I doubt it. People move to cc when they have kids and want good schools. Those triples are a terrible setup for a family, and there is very little yard. Everything about it is kid unfriendly. So who is your market? Dinks would rather live closer in for walkability. This was a mistake. It will have to be discounted substantially to move. But we’ll see I guess.

There's a house nearby on Nevada that is kind of the same situation: They tore down an older house and built an unpractical, modern-style house that has taken forever to sell, like more than a year with a number of price drops. It finally went contingent last week.

Ew. I get wanting modern interiors, but why are the outsides so hideous?

Apparently not outraged enough to buy the property themselves so they could decide what goes there.
