If house guests request avocado toast, is it okay to use Whole Foods guacamole?

I've never eaten or ordered avocado toast. I was planning to use sturdy bakery bread for the toast, Whole Foods guacamole smeared onto the toast, topped with sliced fresh tomatoes, and little bit of everything bagel seasoning on the tomatoes.

Is that okay or do you really need to use fresh avocados?

I'd need new house guests.
If they request avocado toast, buy some bread, a couple avocados, a slicing tomato, some sea salt and some everything but bagel seasoning.
they can make their own damn toast.

Umm, I would eat that, but I would never dream of requesting an avocado toast when I'm a house guest.

Some people are weird about cilantro so I probably wouldn't use guacamole.

But, to answer your question, guacamole is not he same as avocado toast. If you really need it, maybe consider delivery form Le Pain Quotidien or something?

Guys this is not necessarily the guest’s fault. I bet it was something like the host said “what do you like to have for breakfast” and the guest said something like “oh, anything! Oatmeal, avocado toast, eggs. I’m also happy to do a Starbucks run.”

OP guacamole will not work. Get a few avocados the day before they come, if you want to. They can make the toast, if they want.

I don’t eat avocado toast, but I keep a bag of avocado chunks from the grocery freezer section on hand for when I do want some for something else. It’s convenient because you don’t have to worry about selecting one that’s ripe, cutting it up, or dealing with the leftovers before they oxidize. I would think it would work for avocado toast, too, but as I said, I’m not very familiar with avocado toast.
