All these posts about ASR and who should host big events make me wonder which are the best pools to swim at within NVSL.
Take away the considerations of fields and stuff needed for all star events. If you were going to pick a pool to swim a dual meet at, where would you pick? |
Parklawn. We swam against them this year and the pool was nice but the team was a lot of fun. |
Arlington Forest is a really nice pool. It is an 8 lane pool and they are just rare in the NVSL. |
SS2 has eight lanes. Virginia Run has ten lanes |
Little Rocky Run |
Mosby Woods has 8 lanes, shade structures and has a concession stand that takes credit cards and has a decent sized parking lot and a decent amount of close street parking. |
Crosspointe |
Rolling Hills |
To those who said Crosspointe and Rolling Hills, could you share the reasons? Thanks! |
Stratford has eight lanes and the pool is nice. |
Crosspointe: Two beautiful pools and a beautiful club house. Shaded. Easy to access (right off 123). None of this is relevant unless one lives in south county, but though. |

The best pool no question is Virginia Run. The bathrooms are really nice. They have a huge air conditioned club house for meet workers and anyone else who needs to cool down. The pool has 10 lanes. We were bummed when they were moved down from our division. |
I loved Stratford. Bathrooms were beautiful, facilities were nice, and people were nice. They had a big parking lot. Getting there from the other side of the county was not fun, and I’m sure they feel the same when in reverse. |
What about MCSL pools? I like River Falls, Potomac, Darnstown and CCR. |
