IMO, Northam beats any Republican

There are not equally bad by any definition. Northam is connected with a stupid and racist photo from over 30 years; he has done nothing since then to suggest that he harbors those views. He has apologized for his youthful stupidity. Trump is a "grown" man who says racist stuff repeatedly in 2019. No comparison. Northam should remain in office. Fairfax is a different story; he MAY have committed a violent felony. If an investigation shows he did one of the 2 alleged acts, he should resign or be impeached and prosecuted. As a Democrat, we must hold ourselves to high standards, but we must be fair and just. Northam should be criticized, but he should remain in office. Many Democrats are going way too far here. I wonder how many Democrats criticize hip hop musicians for sexist themes in some of their music. I wonder how many Democrats criticize the cat calling that I sometimes see at construction sites. Again, we must be fair and just. Drawing lines and distinctions is hard of course, but it is fair and just if handled appropriately.
