Nice whataboutism. |
| Would have loved to have this out BEFORE the election, just like I would have loved to have had the Obama/Farrakhan photo out too. |
We’re talking about the governor here. Keep up. Should he resign? |
Did GW Bush witdraw when the stuff about his DWI came out? Did Trump withdraw when the pussy grabbing recording came out? They were candidates and they continued and won. |
Now that you have gotten the whataboutism off your chest, what do you think of the photo? (reminder - every one of her witnesses could not vouch for her - even her best friend at the time) |
So another lib who is fine with this. Hypocrite. |
As a staunch conservative and Trump supporter, I thought Franken should have NOT resigned. Frankly, she had years to speak up and didn't. And while this photo of Northam is ugly, it was a long long time ago. More concerned about how the photo of Farrakhan and Obama was hidden before the election as that was NOT a long long time ago. |
Yikes, another racist Southern Democrat! Didn't they head-up the KKK? Yes, they did. |
Well said. |
I'm not a hypocrite. I don't think Franken should have resigned either. I just judge people on who they are today, recognizing that we've all made mistakes in our past. This is a mistake I can live with as Northam seems like a good person who advocates policies consistent with my values. |
This exactly. |
They were afraid that if they did, all the Republicans would vote for Northam. |
I agree with you. This photo brings a real dilemma for those on the left who apply today's standards to events that happened decades ago. We take down statues, rename streets, rename buildings, and go to great lengths because we hold people from the past to the standards set today. So, uncovering this photo, which was taken in the recent past (as opposed to long long ago) is causing the left to face this harsh reality they have set. Let's see how they deal with it. |
Conservative here again. So Northam's crime was simply a matter of yearbook layout? I doesn't sound like he was in the KKK photo. Unless you can prove to me that one of those individuals in costume or blackface was Northam, how can you possibly incriminate the man? |
Gillespie's team did not ignore it. They never found it. They would not have kept this under wraps. But, neither did so-called investigative journalists whose job it is to find stuff. |
