Kane from Kaneshow divorcing and crying on air right now (Part 3)

Worse things happen to parents out there. Obviously she'll have to be more careful with her spending now, but that doesn't mean she's absolutely unable to support her children. She may have to trade that BMW and premium gas in for a Honda, God forbids, or maybe limit the trips to wine nights, style me bars, and impromptu Euro travels.

She will probably get pigeon-holed into doing something lame every day that she doesn't want to do, but the option is there for her, should she choose to stay with iHeart.

I don't think Tommy would say that she will still work with iHeart if she outright got fired.

This. All of the people who jump on our asses about saying that we're happy she's gone, this is for you. She may not be in the position that she wants to be in, but honestly she'll probably be getting paid way too much for the job she does end up getting since she is under contract. Danni will be just fine. And don't forget that Slim is still in her life! Stop acting like Danni is a single mom and sole provider for her family, that gives zero credit to Slim and I'm guessing is also an insult to ACTUAL single moms (but who am I to assume, I'm not single nor a mom.)

Single mom here... Not speaking on Danni's sitch as I don't know how her finances are set up but just because the father is involved doesn't negate being a single mom. They live in two separate homes-- her expenses naturally will become tighter as more of the expense falls on her. My children visit their dad but I essentially maintain the standard of living on par with a household of three. My job pays quite well, but if I were to suddenly lose it, we would suffer even though he's involved. And I'd hate for someone to look at the car I drive and say, "oh she isn't hurting...she drove that car yesterday so the loss of income today should be no big deal". That logic makes no sense. Hope her savings is in a good place.

I said that because I've seen many a time when single moms will get quite upset when someone who gets divorced but still has the support of the father's income says that they're a single mom. That, and Danni makes a huge deal about saying how her and Slim are "co-parenting", so I think you could probably agree that you can't say that you and your ex are "co-parenting" but that you're also a single mom. Not that Danni has said that she is a single mom, I don't know if she has, it was more for the posters. While I do understand that expenses will become tighter no matter what when divorce happens, we also don't know that Danni has lost her income from iHeart media. I would assume that if they had bought out her contract and essentially let her go, Tommy wouldn't be saying that she's looking for other opportunities within iHeart. Additionally, as it's been stated, I don't believe that they can fire her and not pay her out considering her contract. So for now I would be willing to be she's still receiving the same paycheck she was before she was removed from TKS.

Good for you anyway for supporting your children!

If Danni stays under contract with iHeart for the next three years, that will basically kill her radio career. They'll find something for her to do, but it won't be as big as TKS. She's going to want to find her next media job quickly if she plans to stay in the industry.

That's right, but I think that while she stays at iHeart (and searches for a new job) she'll continue to make the salary she was making before (minus the extra income she most likely received for endorsements).

it doesn't always work this way. unless her contract specifically says they have to pay her out she wouldn't be. radio contracts usually only pay all the way out for very big personalities, i.e. she isn't big enough.

I have a very hard time believing that she would have signed a contract that didn't protect her (and subsequently her kids) in a situation like this. Especially considering the fact that her and Slim had already decided to divorce (at least I think so) before she signed her new contract and she knew there would no longer be a dual income.

I would be REALLY surprised if Danni didn't work in some sort of protection for her still getting paid if they decided to fire her or "go in a different direction". We all know Danni better than that...

I had a friend who worked for clear channel. She caused some drama while in contract and they let her go. They did give her a severance pay which lasted a few months, but that's it. She had a very hard time getting back into radio because what she was known for. She was young and totally regret what she did. Lesson learned on her part.

Again she may not have been able to make demands. You do realize how dispensable she was? The news today should prove that.

Is this the "trendsetter" who said "I quit this bitch?"

Ahahahahaha that's probably why they didn't let Danni say her final goodbye on the air!

Kane had a family of 4 with a stay at home wife and bought a 1.9 million dollar house... Even if as a "sidekick" co-host Danni was making HALF what Kane makes, it's still probably A LOT. My point is that the show makes a lot of money, is in a lot of cities, etc. they are a top morning radio show. It's kinda a big deal, and she is kinda a big deal, and I think when signing her contract, she definitely had leverage to demand a decent amount of requests that are honestly pretty standard. The number of years of the contract alone is a lot and indicative of her power. I honestly think you are underestimating her.
