Kane from Kaneshow divorcing and crying on air right now (Part 3)

She pissed Kane off and now they can't work together and have it be normal anymore. They have to offer her a position because she is under contract. She will still get paid, and she can't just turn down any thing they find for her. But she won't have anything to do with TKS anymore.

Yep, she bit the hands that fed her. She's going to have to charge $50 a book that she's writing now, which I'm sure "some profit would be donated to working black breastfeeding mothers who suffer from PP anxiety foundations."

She will probably get pigeon-holed into doing something lame every day that she doesn't want to do, but the option is there for her, should she choose to stay with iHeart.

I don't think Tommy would say that she will still work with iHeart if she outright got fired.

This. All of the people who jump on our asses about saying that we're happy she's gone, this is for you. She may not be in the position that she wants to be in, but honestly she'll probably be getting paid way too much for the job she does end up getting since she is under contract. Danni will be just fine. And don't forget that Slim is still in her life! Stop acting like Danni is a single mom and sole provider for her family, that gives zero credit to Slim and I'm guessing is also an insult to ACTUAL single moms (but who am I to assume, I'm not single nor a mom.)

Not to mention her TLC gig, though it's not that time consuming, let's be honest... it probably pays better than most of our annual salaries... She's fine guys.

Being under contract doesn't mean she is getting paid and it doesn't mean they have to offer her a position. It just means they had an agreement for 3 years on the terms of her employment. They didn't say she WILL have a job with the company, but that she's 'pursuing other opportunities' with them. Who knows what that means or if she will want any job duties offered to her. Also depending on the terms of her contract, they may have been able to change her position.

Dang this thread is 20 pages longer than the last time I checked. I stopped listening at 7:45 this morning. I'm guessing they made an announcement about Danni? Can someone give me a quick recap? Sorry, I'm sure I'm not the first person that's asked this today...

No updates except that Tommy Chuck has been telling people she's not with the show anymore and someone on the thread texted into the Kane show about Danni and he responded that he wants to tell us but he can't risk his job.

Thanks! Can't believe they still didn't address it on air.

Someone else like in HR or with more experience with contracts can chime in, but I am pretty sure that's not how high profile contracts work... Especially because it was a renewal contract and not her first one with iHeart (they usually sweeten the pot once the person is established, whereas when she first got hired they probably made the contract not so awesome because they didn't know how she would pan out).

I think she can't turn down jobs they offer her, but I also don't think they can tell her she has to be a secretary or something way below her experience.

IDK, maybe it just has to do with how well the contract was negotiated and how much they liked Danni, but since it was just renewed, it was probably a better contract than you think.

Yes...part of that agreement was her payment. Unless you have knowledge otherwise, I don't see how it would be lawful to not pay someone that has a contract. I am assuming that Danni, considering her children, had it in her contract that should they try to terminate her contract early or without notice, she would get some kind of payout. I'm not an attorney, but I would be willing to bet that iHeart would have some problems on their hands if they kept her in her contract but weren't paying her.

This. Thanks poster! I was way less descriptive in my response, and I'm definitely not an expert, but I just see no way that Danni signed a contract that didn't protect her against a situation like this.

Single mom here... Not speaking on Danni's sitch as I don't know how her finances are set up but just because the father is involved doesn't negate being a single mom. They live in two separate homes-- her expenses naturally will become tighter as more of the expense falls on her. My children visit their dad but I essentially maintain the standard of living on par with a household of three. My job pays quite well, but if I were to suddenly lose it, we would suffer even though he's involved. And I'd hate for someone to look at the car I drive and say, "oh she isn't hurting...she drove that car yesterday so the loss of income today should be no big deal". That logic makes no sense. Hope her savings is in a good place.
