+1 Does anyone know how much Jackson Lewis is making for their investigation? Just our tax dollars being flushed down the toilet to cover the a$$es of the BOE and top brass at Central Office.

That was already posted. MCPS can’t find the Jackson Lewis contract.

Just checking to see if it finally turned up.

I guess you're presuming it's an innocent mistake, whereas I'm seeing it as the poster purposely attempting to diminish the credibility of the people behind the reporting, in an attempt to minimize the seriousness of the situation. To what end, I don't know.

Maybe they work for MCPS and they just want to brag about how untouchable the system is and rub it in our faces that those of us who cited this as a watershed moment are foolish, because the system will always win?

It's weird, TBH.

PP you're responding to, and no, I actually don't think it's an innocent mistake. Maybe it would be accurate to describe it as "attempting to punch down."

Also, no, I don't think they work for MCPS.

Also, the system may or may not always win, but Beidleman will definitely not win.

You're right she's not an intern anymore. Now she's a contractor.

The Post hasn't written a story about Biedelman in a week. It's dead now. Nicole Asbury has moved on to writing about other things. The Post doesn't have the resources to follow up on local investigative work these days.

I have a feeling you're going to be proven very wrong. Alexandra is literally watching this thread and working on follow-up stories as we speak....

Not PP. the Post’s reporting has been pretty good but I also know how to spot a cover-up when I see it and McKinght’s response on down has been text book. I really hope I’m wrong but I have no faith in these people to do the right thing and protect women. I also hope Alexandra doesn’t let it go btw.

You know how to spot an attempted cover-up. You have no idea whether or not a given attempt at a cover-up will work.

BOE basically confirming Inspectors General investigation will conclude after Jackson Lewis and they've been collaborating with them on it.

BOE also confirming that they’re partnering with the Council while collaborating with the IGs. There’s nothing independent about any of these investigations. The board must feel pretty confident about the outcomes if they’re letting Jackson Lewis go early.

The IG investigation(s) will BEGIN after the Jackson Lewis investigation concludes. Which seems fully reasonable to me.

I agree that an independent investigation means the Board and MCPS must step aside and let an outside investigator see where the investigation leads them. The fact that the County Council and the IGs are sitting back while MCPS and the Board of Education develops their cover story and selectively hides evidence shows how corrupt our local and state government officials are. Are they separate entities or are the political ties so tight that they are collaborating with MCPS and the Board of Education to protect top administrators and Board members?

BS. Why undergo the expense for the Jackson Lewis investigation? Why give MCPS and the Board time to protect themselves and hide evidence?

My bet, Jackson Lewis will be representing MCPS and the Board during any external investigation.

We still dont know if Jackson is doing the investigatiion or the state AG. As far as we know Beidleman is still being paid, and there have been no consequences for any of his superiors who let his behavior go, and promoted him.

And why do you think you have the right to know? Who are you for them to communicate with on the investigation?

Is this a serious quote? Good lord.

I'm a Montgomery County resident. An MCPS parent. A tax payer. Is that enough for you?

And by the way even if I was none of those three- they are perfectly reasonable questions for anyone to ask.

Pathetic.

It doesn't say they're letting Jackson Lewis go.

Kristin Mink, who has been running interference for MCPS with the rest of council, said Jackson Lewis would be completing its work and turning over to the IG.

Are they completing the work on the first phase, which was intended to end by September 8th? Or also the second phase, which was the longer-term investigation with no end date provided?

Her tweet last night was pure gaslighting.

"We didnt sign on with the Glass and Luedtke letter to the BOE because there wasnt enough time, but we also support the IG looking after the work"

Yeah, AFTER Jackson Lewis gets a chance to scrub it! Totally different thing.

After Jackson Lewis gets a chance to scrub what, exactly?

I think the PP is referring to an opportunity for the BOE and MCPS has to destroy and hide evidence from an IG investigation that they have a warning will be occurring.
