They arrested a mother for asking the police to do something. The police down there look like they spend all there time in the gym.

It’s a bit more bunkers than this. The mother was detained and handcuffed presumably on some trumped up interfering with investigation charge. She was then released because we might assume that police had more important things to attend to during an active shooter event, maybe? After release, she jumped a fence (and what one would have hoped was a secured perimeter) and entered the effing school building to get her own kids. This is the craziest sh1t l have ever heard.

They weren’t able to establish any effective degree of command and control after at least 40 minutes on scene. Everybody was just going rogue and doing their best despite having what the city promoted as its own SWAT team festooned with tactical gear.

I guess she figured the cops wouldnt chase her into the school (that might be dangerous)

I'm fairly certain doing their best would have involved entered the school and engaging the gunman rather than standing around outside trying to look cool in their tactical gear while waiting for a swat team

I dug up some stats regarding police:

-Police training is about half the hours of cosmetologist training
-The United States has the lowest required number of hours for police training of almost all countries
-Texas allows officers to work 12 MONTHS before attending basic training
-Texas requires zero hours of field training

So sounds like Texas basically has a bunch of cops with zero training running things.

They were outside for an hour listening to gun shots and they arrested mothers trying to get to their kids.

I’m not usually drawn toward conspiracy theories, but this sure does change the news cycle away from the January 6 commission.
