Are people masking on flights to Europe?

Just out of curiosity, if you’ve flown to/from Europe this summer, are people masking?

Roughly what’s the percentage of masked/unmasked?

And did you or anyone in your group get sick during your trip?

No

Oh sorry, for the other two, I don’t think I saw a single masker? And no we didn’t get sick. I’ve been flying throughout the summer.( I think I’ve had Covid twice before, definitely once via testing.)

No and none fell sick.

I wore a mask and I think I was the only one in the entire plane. Even my DH didn’t mask. I didn’t wear one on my flight back to the states from Europe though.

Just got back. Very few people mask, though I always mask in the terminal and then until the plane reaches 10,000 feet. Then I mask again on approach and until I exit the terminal. I also mask on public transit…

Went in May and there may have been a handful but a small minority. We did not get sick.

Not Europe but we just got back from the Bahamas and I got Covid. No one anywhere is wearing a mask but there are cases right now. I just took Paxlovid and moved on. It’s all so weird.

I masked because I don’t want to get sick on vacation. It’s easy to do and just not a big deal. It’s worth it to me

I just went to the west coast and got Covid. Based on the timing it probably wasn’t from the plane. More likely from the hotel or restaurants. And almost no one is masking on planes (I did).

I was the only one on two flights this week.

Just got back. Didn’t mask, barely saw anyone who did. We did get sick after we got back. Oh well.

My sister and her family are in Europe now - four cities. They mask on planes and trains.

Not when we went to Madrid in May. I plan on masking this time when we go to London in August though (I got Covid in Madrid and don’t want to get it again)

Very few are.

We are one of those few, because our DD has an autoimmune disease that makes her more vulnerable to opportunistic infections. We use KF94 masks. We otherwise don't avoid going out or living normal lives, but 8hrs in a box with strangers from all over the world warrants a mask, in our opinion.
