Why do so many travelers/bloggers brag about eating food on airplanes?

Am I the only one who never understood this? I don't care what class you're in, free or not, the food has always been nasty! Not only does the food look gross (hospital food, at best), why would you ever think the food is safely handled by bozos at the airport and lowest bidder vendors? And apparently even worse since Covid with safety protocols ignored, so in-flight food poisoning is super common. A flight last night from Michigan to Europe emergency landed at JFK after about 30 crew and passengers out of 277 began vomiting uncontrollably from food poisoning, creating a biohazard on the plane.

Serious? Instagram, TikTok and travel blogs are full of people posting photos and reviews of in-flight food. It’s a way to brag you’re in first or business and they pretend the food is amazing. It’s so weird. |
