How to get a body like Emily Blunt

Anonymous
I am not really built like her (hourglass: think J Lo with larger boobs, plus am currently a size ten losing weight postpartum). My normal size is a six which seems to be my body’s happy place, but I love Emily Blunt’s leanness. What size is she, a 2? 0?

If you’re normally a fit size six is it a fools errand to try to become smaller or can it be done? Should it??

She's 5'7". Are you tall or short?

I’m 5’3 (but people often say I seem taller, if that means anything)

Google says she’s 115. I don’t think I could get there but I’m in my 40s.

I’m a size 6. 5’5 140 and losing so clothes are much looser now. I don’t see a size 2 happening for me. She is small framed. I’m built wider and thicker. LOL

Hire a personal chef, a personal trainer etc.

I don’t understand this post. You are shorter than Emily Blunt, have a different body type, have bigger boobs. Why would you look to her for inspiration? Be the best version of your body.

It’s probably impossible for you if your body type is different.

I could probably do it, as that is the way I was built in my twenties. But I would be miserable maintaining that at my age. I think I would need to cut out sugar and anything like bread/pasta/rice plus start running and spending an hour a day on stuff like weights or Pilates. If my livelihood depended on it, I guess I could do it, maybe. But even then I’d probably decide it was better to retire or start aiming for “character” roles. I really admire the female actors that allow themselves to age normally, like Marissa Hargitay. I bet she still eats pasta! Whereas Jen Anniston probably eats it once a year on her birthday or something.

For the record, as a woman, I think JLo has a beautiful hour glass figure. I don't even remember what Emily Blunt looks like.

+1 I know Emily Blunt is thin, but really can’t conjure up a mental image of her body type. Postpartum seems like one of the worst times to try to reinvent your body into a much leaner version of your normal self. This is the time to focus on being well nourished, well hydrated, and if nursing, eating enough calories for breastmilk production. I wouldn’t even attempt such a transformation while breastfeeding. Even if you aren’t breastfeeding, your body needs time to recover. Your rib cage was spread wider open, all your organs got pushed out of the way, your uterus expanded many times over and has to shrink back, your blood volume doubled. Give yourself the grace you deserve.

TLDR: I'm built nothing like this random person, how can I look just like her?

Come on, OP. Don't you have anything better to think about?

You don’t eat anything, and when you’re about to faint, you eat a cube of cheese

You want what you can't have, OP. There is no way a size 6 before kids and go to 0-2 after kids, and still look healthy and beautiful.
I'm was a size 0 before kids and now I'm a 2. I can't even go back to 0. I lose fat in places I don't want to lose fat.

Generic Hollywood skinny white girl.

OP I have a very similar body type to Emily Blunt (slightly taller than average, small chest, slim hips, long waisted) and I'm also very fit and healthy and I don't look like Emily Blunt. At least not the version of her on the red carpet. I would estimate she is doing 1-2 hours of strength and resistance training daily (at least 5 days a week), with a trainer. Plus likely in a special diet with a nutritionist and chef. Certainly she did all that for the recent awards season because she was a nominee.

As a normal person, even with her body type, I workout about 4 days a week and it's usually about 45 minutes and I have to self motivate. I pay attention to what I eat but I'm not in some super restrictive diet that likely avoids not only some gars and carbs but also salt and anything that could cause bloat. I look good for a normal 40-something mom. I likely weigh about 10 lb more than she does and have less muscle and a little bit of extra cushion in my tummy.

There is zero point in a normal person trying to look like a celebrity for whom looking good in camera is a full time job for which they employ multiple people to assist them. Come on.
