What have been your results from Ozempic/Wegovy/semaglutide?

I really don’t care if you’re obese, diabetic/prediabetic, or doing it to lose those last ten pounds: I just want to hear about your results!

My entire adult life I was fit and active, wore a 4/6, lost weight pretty easily after my first two kids. Had my last baby last year, developed GD, now am prediabetic and literally NOTHING has worked to lose weight. It has been extremely demoralizing. I’m starting semaglutide this week.

Tell me your stats, anything else about the experience, and how long it took you to lose!

10 weeks in, currently on 1.0 dose, will move up to 1.7 mg in two weeks. 1.7 is supposed to be the first therapeutic dose, so I am very happy to have lost 17 pounds before even getting to that dose.

118 is better for me, people were commenting that I was too thin at 112. Have been off since Jan 2024, am comfortable at 118. Hope to stay there

Can you tell me what doctors prescribe these? I'm pre-diabetic and believe I could use these pills as a help to lose weight.

Currently a size 8, sometimes a 6. Was a 12 before.

Lost 40 lbs over the course of a year, currently on a maintenance dose. I might try to lose a few more lbs over the next year but working on maintaining right now.

My regular doctor does it. But they are shots, not pills, and I go to the office every 7-10 days for the shots.

Why don’t you pick up a prescription and inject yourself?
My prescribing doctor is part of the GW Weight Loss Clinic.

Because it is a compound and they can't sell it directly. And because the prescriptions can be hard to find and way more expensive. It works for me as the office is a 10 minute walk away so not a big time commitment as long as I can work it in around business travel.

I have not heard of a regular doctor (not medspa or online) dispensing compounded semaglutide. Interesting.
My insurance covers it, so my prescription is only $25, and it has been fairly easy for me to find it since March.

So, 90 pounds. It’s been a couple weeks over one year.

GW ?? I’m more focused on body composition with my dietician and bariatric PA— percent body fat and decreasing visceral fat. Those numbers will probably determine when I go into maintenance. Also, how much more I can lose and reasonably maintain. I’d love to get another 40 lbs off. We’ll see.

Lots of strength training, cardio and yoga. 1200 calories a day, 110g protein, 100 oz water.

Goal weight: I don’t know. If I’m using the BMI chart, 135 would get me out of the overweight category.

So, lost 35 pounds. I'm almost 5'9" so not looking to lose further. Now at maintenance dose of 1.3 mg.
