As a Democrat, it all feels hopeless.

Amen! They’re out to make money so they cover drama and induce anger so their viewership goes up. Boring doesn’t guarantee eyeballs. They’re a “for profit” industry too.

Yes, Kalifornya has turned out splendidly.

What is your beef with Cali?

Everyone wants to live there and it is thriving.

There's a really strange internet culture that loves pouncing on California when, in reality, it's a pretty nice place.
People will post images of poop on SF sidewalks like it doesn't happen anywhere else.

I'm a Republican that doesn't hate California at all. I frequently vacation there. It is painful to see our crown jewel of a state ridden so roughly with bad policy, though. Even London Breed started being honest that the state of San Francisco is unacceptable. Children live in the Tenderloin and have to walk through those streets to get to school, etc. It's the worst I've ever seen, and I've seen the bad side of many places (the bad side of Baltimore, bad areas in the Middle East, etc). It is just not acceptable for any American state-- much less rich, gorgeous California-- to allow this kind of decay and rot.

Oh, I 100% agree. I'd like to see the Republicans run California repubs that are reasonably left of party but could be more competitive in California as a whole. There's a ton of families in San Francisco who would love another option-that's why Breed is frantic in turning around the city currently. Many Republicans have the policy ideal of "just gut the social programs" but that would immediately turn SF into anarchy. You need reasonable policy for the place you are trying to lead.

Yes, Kalifornya has turned out splendidly.

If you’re looking at dollars, California has beat the pants of all the other states, yes

Oh yes, among the lowest student […]

I actually went and looked up all your claims, other than there being more homeless people in California (true! Probably has to do with the fact that California has the largest population in the country and expensive housing), literally everything else you said was wrong. California tracks crime statistics (and they’re half of what they were decades ago), across the state the children are slightly below average (which probably means that middle class and wealthy kids are doing well and poor kids aren’t, just like everywhere). You’re sucking down right wing lies and not even double checking.

OP, I guess it’s easy to feel hopeless when people like the PP above exist, just gape mouthing around the internet. But they’re in the minority.

Obama said something similar. Biden was against the OBL raid and for Libya . Obama called Libya his biggest foreign policy mistake . He was pushed to do that by Biden and Hillary.

Biden was calling Saddam Hussein “Son of a b” and “Sodom” in the 1990s. He was a battle crier for a war in Iraq and wanted Clinton to invade Iraq . Clinton like Obama ignored war hawk Biden.

He ended up losing his son thanks to the chemicals used in Iraq so I wonder if he ever regretted his stance. Biden is someone who should’ve ran as a Republican candidate. I don’t know why he ever ran as a Democrat . I think it’s only because Kennedy was Irish Catholic. There’s nothing about him that is Democratic. Ted Kennedy couldn’t stand him . There’s never been a war or a cut to Social Security that Biden hasn’t approved of.

Biden is to the right of Trump when it comes to war

Biden’s claim to fame in the Senate was being tough on crime and drugs. He said crack addicts should get life in jail but now he says fentanyl/opioid addicts should be treated with care . He’s a horrible person. His son deserved the same amount of jail time as the people Biden wanted locked away for using drugs.

That doesn’t happen in Texas which is almost as big as California .

Hey, what can I say? See it for yourself.

And remember all of that with the high state tax that California has. Don't tell me how wonderful Newsom's California is.

You should visit Austin or parts of Uptown (the Downtown is devoid of human life) Dallas or Deep Ellum then. I saw homeless people everywhere in Dallas when I used to live there. Texas isn't some magic land where cities stop city-ing.

Well, that's just some good old fashioned white privilege you're experiencing in the wake of Hunter's guilty verdict!

Anonymous wrote:It is depressing. The conservatives have dominated the media. Trump learned you don’t need policy as long as you have an easy three word chant for people to regurgitate. The vast majority of Americans are supporting a convicted felon and a rapist, who first term was historic in the amount of family graft and political corruption that took place. Conservatives have been pushing civil war, deportation camps, and violence against Democrats. These are dark days, OP.

Lawfare didn’t work; democrats should not have installed a senile man and a highly unpopular and incompetent vp who is worse than the senile guy.

You sound steeped in right wing lies.

Biden isn’t senile? Do you think he’s really ok?Do you think anyone noticed he’s not ok?

Why did democrats spend millions of dollars of taxpayer money trying to put Trump in jail?

Trump broke the law that’s why he was found guilty.

I think Biden is old but isn’t senile. I think the economy is doing very well. I think Biden has accomplished a lot in his first four years.

Trump is unfit for office because a) he is a convicted felon, b) the case he lost against E Jean Carroll, c) he tampered with having false electors/votes in AZ and GA, d) his previous term in office lead to many Americans dying of Covid e) his previous term in office he spent the bulk of his time watching tv, tweeting, and golfing, f) his time as President enriched him and his family from pure corruption and graft, and the biggest reason: g) he incited January 6.

Hell yes, I’m voting for Biden.
