Landon was competitive as expected but won't be nearly as good as they were last year. 2-1 and the younger players didn't do much.

Where is your assessment coming from, scores from tourney machine?

Bullis played on Sunday, Landon played on Saturday.

What about the other IAC teams?

Let’s me real. The football is JV level at best. You could play FB on Sat and play lacrosse on Sunday. The lacrosse would be more physical.

This is a very ignorant post. IAC football, while nowhere close to the level of the WCAC upper division, has some talented players, and the teams are well-coached. You get one high school experience in life, so make the most of it, whether it's playing multiple sports or getting involved with extracurricular school clubs. I rather have my son play 2 sports in HS than play year-round lacrosse, especially a sport that has little future after HS.

Little future after HS? that's ignorant. id put money on PVI, Ryken and Carroll vs IAC football.

1. PVI who won the WCAC ship for football in the Metro division (the lower WCAC division) hardly beat STA who came in 4th place in the IAC this year... the game came down to the last 60 seconds.

2. You are delusional to think there aren't a few players from the IAC or WCAC Metro division who couldn't start or play big minutes in the upper division of the WCAC.

3. Regardless, football is a very physical game that is 10x more physical and taxing on the body than a lax game.

4. You could be missing the PP point... The high school experience should be about physical and mental growth. This is achieved through exploring and participating in multiple activities (whether it's via sports, after-school clubs, etc.). The IAC and MAC schools, given they are much smaller than the WCAC schools in student population, and the year-round sport's commitment is more flexible (i.e. coaches encourage their players to play a 2nd or 3 sport) you generally see a good portion of their student-athletes playing a 2nd or even a 3rd sport.

STA was in every game against the IAC. Within a TD. Says to me that PVI, Ryken and Carroll all could have positive outcomes in the IAC.

not just the starters, and right from the start of every game. We shall see come spring time

Bullis and PVI go 3-0 against slightly less competition.
Landon goes 2-1 and had the ball in OT against Loyola Blakefield and they turn it over and lose. Landon did play everyone and LB played their top players only.
Good Counsel plays a good first day and over reaches against top competition on the 2nd. 2-1 and 0-3.
Gonzaga goes 1-5. I suppose they played a few close games.
Somehow Episcopal squeezes out a win. 1-2
St. Albans also gets a win but has so few players they end up playing the goalie at attack on the 2nd day. 1-5
Dematha goes 0-3
O'Connell 0-3
Potomac 0-3

Bullis, PVI and Landon will play with very short benches this year.

Top teams in the area this Spring will likely be the following

Tier I: SJC, Landon, Bullis, PVI

Tier II: GP, GZ, GC, Episcopal

Tier III: St Albans, DM, Potomac,

Based on what I saw from GZ this past weekend, they could have their weakest team in over a decade.

need a great defense in front of the GZ goalie to be successful.
