And rightfully so. Imagine just trying to go home after a long day and this happens to you. And then the gullibles lap it up with a spoon. |
Even without tying up every loose end I don’t know how else she could have possession of this receipt with the serial number matching. But I’m sure her lawyer will. |
They deliberately make an inappropriate and inapposite comparison to a notorious crime even when at the outset, the woman doesn’t rally anyone to really help her. And they’re proud of themselves! |
| I almost don’t actually want this story to be true now. Pregnant nurse hassled/assaulted by teens, filmed while panicking during the incident, doxxed by the internet mob as racist? They’ve posted her name, address, husband’s name online. Truly vicious and out of control. |
And so many people won’t admit they were wrong and participated in the mob because they would have to accept they truly were the villains. |
Yes. It’s so wrong! And one of the primary drivers of that, who kept repeat posting her name, is apparently so proud of that. |
They have forced her hand to make as big a media spectacle as possible to get her version out there. As in lawsuits. Lots of lawsuits. |
I am glad she sueing. I donated. |
But it almost doesn’t matter, it’s just really sad to me. She’s had her life derailed for the sick fun of some random young men, or boys, who knows, and then adults here and elsewhere just won’t let go and even be a small bit I don’t know, kind, reflective, anything. What happened to her is cruel. |
I don't know if I should be relieved or reviled that she has managed to attract $5k in donations so far. She's not evil but she's a terrible person. |

I'm surprised they didn't call the police on her or contract a lawyer from the Legal Aid Society to sue her for everything she has and make her unemployable. |
Eh. It’ll be okay. She may well push The Root the way of Gawker. |
She’s a saint. |
I really feel like this type of mob behavior inciting harassment or even violence should be criminalized if it isn’t already. Remember the Jodie Foster movie where they put the most vocal members of the mob in prison even though they didn’t participate in the rape directly? I feel like that type of thing should happen here. I know it’s mostly “just” harassment but let’s be real, none of us would want this happening to us. Not when we were actually the victims already to start with. If people had something to personally lose when they come after other people in this vicious way then maybe they’d think before they act. |
Yet she's a far better person than you will ever be. |
