Hate crime?

And possibly her gender, although no one seems to care about either of those things nowadays.

Isn’t there a thing that white people can’t be the victims of racism or hate crimes or something like that?

That seems to be the current party line, yep... hence cases like this becoming more common.

How come now that she has a lawyer and receipts these are "teens" and "kids"? They look like adults to me.

If her story is true, that they re-docked the bike, the taunt “you’re not getting this bike” that you hear in the video is even uglier and helps me understand her anger.

I find it interesting that the families of the boys don’t seem to be rallying behind them. They probably know this is part of a larger pattern of behavior.

Yeah I’ve also wondered where that came from. They haven’t been doxxed, as far as I know, so who really knows their ages.

I don’t think this Daily Mail update was posted: further proof she paid for the bike she’s on: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12100201/Pregnant-NYC-nurse-shares-receipts-day-shes-accused-stealing-Citi-bike-black-man.html

They are, I think; I support this woman and also think they are not likely to be legal adults.

Oh look. The people who said he was blocking the QR code intentionally and didn't purchase the bike until midway through the video were completely correct. Only it was even worse than they suspected.

It’s honestly sickening. I feel bad for thinking she was being overdramatic (though I was defending her in this thread). If I had been grabbed and shoved back into the dock like that then had him pushing me off the bike I would have grabbed his phone and thrown it into the street.

They could be anywhere from 18-29, but they certainly are grown men harassing a woman. Now that the story is out that they pushed her back in after she paid for the bike, this will be cast as "playful kids horsing around" instead of aggressive men.

This story has the receipt with the bike number on it and then a close up of the video where the bike number is visible -- same bike.

The receipt should be time-stamped and verified by Citi Bike, but after that, I think this is game over. I've seen what I need to see.

Rewatching the clip, it’s clear she’s really panicking.

Monica Judge and her like-minded scumbags here want to know WHY she grabbed the phone from this young man??? Hm?!! After all it was his bike! - and so forth.

I hope this woman feels ok and over time doesn’t feel shamed. I can’t believe a news crew went to her home and interviewed her neighbors! That Monica Judge beast repeatedly put this woman’s name, and her husband’s name, to ensure that the top Google result would lock in on this story - she stated many times she was doing that deliberately because the story was “personal” for her. WTF?

Right? I've been saying all along that she shouldn't have grabbed his phone and that she "didn't handle the situation well" while also defending her because she was sitting on the bike before he rents it. But her version of events makes her behavior make total sense and actually makes her look pretty calm and patient. I'm thinking back to when I was 6 months pregnant and what I would have felt/done if I'd been manhandled in this way.
