Of course she can. She can pay the $10,000 fine and not be interviewed. No big deal when you're that rich. She's not a slave chained to her master. She still has free will.

She dropped out before they could raise the fine to a higher amount, which is permitted according to the terms of her contract. I suppose she can keep signing contracts and dropping out when she refuses to comply, but I assume she will eventually want to play again.
