Of course Naomi doesn’t have to be interviewed. She doesn’t even have to play tennis. But if she wants to play tennis in a tournament that requires all players to be interviewed, then she shouldn’t receive any exceptions. She is not a special snowflake who deserves an obvious advantage over other players.

Naomi didn’t get interviewed and she paid a large fine that the tournament thought was fair.  Nobody gave her a free pass.  Just like if I don’t feel like working one day, my boss could dock my pay.  That’s life.  But she’s not a slave and has the right to refuse to be interviewed and pay the price. [/quote]
