What’s the vibe at SR for BIPOC? Anything seem better or worse since this chat?

Our DD went to SR for ninth grade and frankly hated it. They basically favor strong athletes, families with big wallets, and the 2% they see going to an Ivy. The very first mailing we received was a plea for donations and it didn't stop. It was also so crowded that a percentage of girls had to each lunch sitting on the floor. Our DD was a very good student but staying there was not going to serve her interests so we transferred. The hype (and cost) didn't match up to the reality for our family.

The new Mater Center solves any issues that may have existed for lunch in the past. The building is stunning and there should be no shortage of seats.

Now if only they would give me more than 15 minutes for lunch. It's absurd.
