Video of Mary Cheh's car being stolen from outside of Bread Furst

Are you assuming the woman assaulted in Brookland was worthy or un? Perhaps she was asking for it?

I am glad that this thread has established that there is a class of people that "deserve" to have crimes committed against them. As people in this thread seem to know who they are, can we have signs put on their property simply to make law enforcements job of protecting the rest of us easier.

Or is that sign a DC flag or license plate???

I'm not a Cheh fan and I'm mad she signed Charles Allen soft early release bill (after first raising objections). However, can you give an example of her blaming victims for things? I agree about inaction. We need more action and hopefully being the victim herself will galvanize her. Sometimes it takes that eye opening experience.

I live in Great Falls. I can leave my garage door open all night and nothing is ever touched. We’ve forgotten to lock our doors on occasion and remain safe. Been here over 20 years. But then again, we would not tolerate it here. And I think that’s the difference.

We know. Have you fried anyone for dope possession lately? Law and order VA after all.

It's a waste of police resources to spend any time on Mary Cheh's auto theft. Too bad her car was stolen. She can buy another. That's life and just part of living in DC. At least this is what I was told about my "real" problems that weren't of my own creation.

She didn't lose her home and all of her property, she is able bodied and has a job which she earns income from, she isn't dying of late stage cancer, she didnt lose her quality health insurance, she has food and clothing, afterall.

Mary Cheh needs to learn to take responsibility for herself!

It sounds like you feel or were wronged ? Let's talk about what happened to you, but that doesn't mean this car theft should be selectively left uninvestigated. 2 wrongs don't make a right.

My problem with that video is that it looks like she didn't bother to clear the snow off her roof. If know she's doing city driving, but that's still fast enough for chunks of snow/ice to fly off and hit the cars behind her.

Yes, that's the concern here! WAY more dangerous than a joyriding stolen vehicle for other cars and pedestrians.

I agree with PP. It's more evidence of her entitlement.

Yes, a small dislodging ice chunk. Top priority!

I bet it's more likely to result in someone getting hurt than simple theft of an unattended car.

So, if we review newspaper articles there are multiple incidents of people getting hurt in DC in interactions with stolen vehicles (run over, crimes committed in them, etc). I am racking my brain to recall one where someone was hurt by snow coming off of a car's roof on Connecticut Ave. I am sure it is a good idea and important citizenship to dislodge snow, but disagree that this posed the greater danger (or any real danger).

Ok, let Mary Cheh have her police investigation.
Although they shouldn't spend too much time on this, 45 minutes tops. This happened more than a week ago and is now in the past (something I was told over and over again).

Afterall, she lives in upper NW making her privileged. This is something else I was told. The 'other' doesn't have the privilege to live in upper NW like I do. I tried to explain it's really not all that great and if the 'other' puts in the effort, they too can live there. What's sad, is when given the chance the 'other' shoots and pulls out knives and ruins their opportunity to live there on their housing voucher. I never felt guilty. Many belong in group homes, drug rehab, jail or mental institutions. I'll stop here because I'm getting off topic.

One more thing, the other night, I asked a DC police officer a simple question and he refused to answer. The young thug gave me a sarcastic response instead. I can't imagine he would respond to Mary Cheh this way.
