x one million, and I say this as a parent |
This. Every time someone begins to rant about opening schools I think to myself what a pita their kid must be. |
And any time I hear statements like what the PPs just wrote, I think to myself that I hope someone else in their kid's life is teaching their kid about compassion and understanding, because these are the parents of the horrific little bullies who bully my kid with significant SNs. Clearly the PPs are incapable of teaching their kid to be kind. Someone else will have to do the job. God knows my poor kid has suffered enough from your terrible parenting. |
LOL. Look at you totally not taking responsibility for your actions! |
Teacher here. How do you know they're "clearly" not able to do that virtually? And how on earth could you lump all together? |
I have no idea what you are talking about. If you are making some obscure reference to in person school, my kids are doing virtual and staying virtual for awhile. I suspect they won't be in person this year. But that doesn't mean I can't immediately recognize the parents who raise horrific little bullies, like you. You broadcast who you are. You and that string of PPs had better hope someone else teaches your kid some kindness because you sure aren't capable. |
Then hire help. Simple. You need help. In the past you relied on school. School isn't your help now so you need to hire someone if you cannot do it yourself. You can always move to those other countries if you think they are so much better. |
Exactly. We are learning/teaching those skills. |
| Are all of you 'only the rich should reproduce' idiots forgetting that in order for YOU to remain 'on top' someone else has to be on the bottom supporting you. Who do you think is going to keep performing the service jobs that make your 'lifestyle choices' possible if the lower class doesn't reproduce? |
Unfortunately you have a group of people who are both mean and stupid that you are working with here. Eugenicists shouldn't be reasoned with. They are vile, and that's all there really is to say about it. |
NP here. Are you delusional? This is such a silly question to even ask. The kids used to spend 5-8 hours in school, absorbing not just academic but social-emotional skills. And you should know this, but let me remind you again since you seem to have forgotten how stuff works - the kids don't just learn from instruction, but more from interactions and watching others. Now they have a screen with a teacher talking from one end and this is for 2-3 hours max in a day. How are these even comparable? Fine..make excuses and don't come to work, but how on earth can you say that kids are able to do everything virtually as they would have in in-person school? |
You, teachers, should decide first if parents need help or not. Half of you are saying that kids are learning everything they would have normally, and the other half is saying parents should hire help. Either way, why don't the teachers that are stating lack of childcare as the reason for not returning to school hire someone and get back to work. |
Or daycare centers. There are no daycare centers for children over 5. That was called school. If you need childcare for your child over 5, you have to hire a full time nanny or sitter which is many times more expensive, and harder to arrange. |
Nothing is free. Tax payers pay for public school. Yes, school does function as a source for childcare, hence why every school normally offers an after school program as well. That is how our capatilist society works. Kids go to school to allow parents to work and contribute to the running of our economy. There isn't enough qualified teachers/nannies out there for every single family to privately hire someone. If your argument is don't have children unless one parent can full time SAH, do you think all welfare/WIC should be stopped too? Because if you can't afford children with don't have them? This leaves the only people being able to "afford" children are those 2 parent households where one parent stays home full time and the other parent makes enough to provide the economic needs as well as the educational needs. |
plus those kids need some kind of academic support, which most nannies arent qualified or able to do. |
