Np here. Stop whining like an ass yourself. The whole world is at a stand still and people have lost jobs and a struggling to make ends meet. So what if LS has to refund my $150, are they going to die? Are they going to be financially doomed? They shouldn't be, should they? No one will die if they refund my money, right? |
The money should be fully refunded as a matter of principle. LS can apply for and get a loan to offset their burden. The Fed is making that easy to do. It's not the (former) customers' responsibility, especially when they received no services for their payment. If they want to donate, it's their choice to return the check back to LS. It's not LS' right to withhold it as a mandatory donation. It's that simple. |
Ok, lets put this in a way that you can understand. You: Hey Alexa, order a case of lemon scent lysol wipes and 2 12 packs of Charmin Ultra toilet paper. Alexa: $80 dollars will be charged to your account and the items will be shipped within 2 days a s Prime member. Three days later you get an email and it reads. Your items are out of stock. We do not know when we can fill your order. Sorry for the inconvenience but there will be no refunds at this time. |

^^^^^ can’t be said clearer than that.
Wonder how much of that money gets lost in upcoming seasons as people who were screwed look for alternatives. Hope it was worth it. |
They make hundreds of thousands if not a million every year from the Rec program. The 300 upset families is only a small dent to the huge empire but it’s a start. Someone out there, please build a nice small and honest family friendly Club In Loudoun County and people will follow. |
If times are that hard right now, why don't you apply for a loan for the $150 or $80 to cover what you won't get back? Just a thought..... |
Soooooo, lose a $150 dollars to Loudoun Soccer, then borrow $150 at a payday loan APR of 12%? That is your solution? How about this instead, Loudoun Soccer pays the $150 back and if they can't then Loudoun Soccer can take out a loan to do so. |
Just let us know which position you are in at Loudoun at this point. We don't live and work to support the club. They provide a service, and if they can't, they don't own the money that was intended to pay for the service. |
It's not a bad idea but there are options out there. There's a cost to it though in terms of development and exposure. |
There's no cost for Rec parents....coaches are all volunteer and there's no control over who you get. Some would argue that even the travel is iffy against PPs statement on development. |
sure they do. that's exactly what is happening now. All your bitching is just that... I get it you need to vent. nothing is going to change. the quicker you accept that, the quicker you can go start a GoFundMe page or apply for one of those loans.... better yet I know a guy who if you give them $200 they will give you $800 in return... |
You just convinced me to place a dispute with my credit card company against Loudoun Soccer and to advise all my angry friends in similar situations to do the same. Thank you for pushing me over the edge. I had planned to ignore it until this point. |
Why should the customer apply for a loan to cover themselves for a service they did not receive? If Loudoun Soccer couldn’t provide the service they have no claim to the money, period. If LOUDOUN SOCCER can’t afford to repay their customers then LOUDOUN SOCCER should apply for a loan and take the hit not the customer. |
+1. This is a homer who wants these poor people to unwillingly fund his employer or DC’s club, take your pick, and keep it afloat. |
Amazon only charges when it ships... |
