Channel 9 (WUSA) had a piece on Loudoun Soccer too a few days ago. Loudoun may have killed their cash cow.

I hope Loudoun Soccer survives this onslaught of shameless pearl clutchers. They don't realize that their short term desires and publicity stunts, could mortally wound this long-serving community youth organization, that has been a strong and positive force for tens of thousands of kids. Yeah, the club used your money for something egregious like a coaching retreat to Vegas--Not!

If you're going to contact 7 On Your Side, then appear on TV and cry foul over a soccer refund, you should at least be able to claim you're a true financial victim, and not pretend you are taking up for the downtrodden as their vigilante Robin Hood advocate.

LOL. Also, if you appear on TV, don't lie through your teeth about money spent for fields when the rec program uses county fields that they didn't spend money to use this Spring.

Here is the issue with Loudoun, they raped the rec families by only refunding 50%. There is no way the county is charging them for fields that are not being used. In fact, they never even set up the fields for the spring with the goals still locked up. They are using the money to keep their facility and staff funded which is primarily used by the travel side of the house. There are many options so Loudoun's greed just shot themselves in the foot.
