Yes, I will, and I'll tell my state legislators, too. |
Don't worry, of course Gov Hogan is going to open schools in the fall. The people saying anything different have an agenda. |
+1 Zero chance they won't be open. It may not be full-on packed assembly style, but they will open. |
They said elective, not cosmetic. They are not the same thing. |
Zero change you are right. In your imaginary plan, where to you plan on putting all the students? On the roof? |
What? They'll be in class. They may not have full-school assemblies etc. |
They won't be in classes. That's too many people, too close together in one room. Time for you to wake up. |
What's your agenda? This is 4 months away. You have NO IDEA what will happen. All evidence points to schools opening NOT causing spread. |

Remember - flattening the curve is not about stopping transmission, it's about slowing it so we don't fill all the available beds.
Transmission will continue until we have a vaccine. We don't want to overwhelm our hospitals the way NYC did. |
Right. The biggest problem with reopening before a vaccine or effective treatment is lack of sufficient contact tracing. I know we are trying to set up contact tracing, but it’s virtually impossible to do it effectively at this point in a pandemic. Now, I think we have to reopen before a vaccine or treatment because the economic impact of not doing so will be absolutely devastating (even more than now). But, while we can surge hospital capacity, testing, and PPE, we can’t stop the inevitable spike in cases that will happen when we reopen without really good contact tracing. So we just have to hope that the PPE and surge capacity we have will be sufficient. That’s also why it’s really important for people to be careful and continue to take precautions. |
Other than Singapore and a surge in the virus among its migrant community, most countries that have opened in Europe and Asia have not seen much of a surge. South Korea is down to zero cases a day despite opening, and Germany is proceeding to the next phase of its opening. |
South Korea and Germany both have extensive contact tracing programs. |
Much of the rest of the world has better testing (per capita) than we do. Far better. |
Lol. |
So people would like to send there kids to school to kill other people... basically. Your sloppy kid will go around infecting teachers and other staff members. Then idiots like you will take your sloppy kiddo to the grocery store and Target so more people can be infected. You will be infected and pass it along to your colleagues. And the poor nurses and doctors will have to deal with the results of your stupidity. |
