This is why you should not believe everything you read here. The commits going to Yale, Georgetown, and Dartmouth are not from SR.

This is why I asked.....now.....I think the point of the questions are .... were they getting recruited as a result of MC or in spite of?

I do know that right now these middle schoolers are not getting any consistent coaching so if we wait till high school for Capital they won’t stand a chance....

To clarify: the current 2023 girls are on MC because most of the team left for Capital and other teams. I know of at least 6 or 7 girls on the current 2023 who did not make those other teams.

Thank you for the clarification....again if you have a middle schooler at MC now you are not getting the structured practices and coaching to prepare you for a better program in high school.... well at least that is what I am taking from all of this based on my experience and the posts here..... so frustrating.... I agree with the PP that said Montgomery County needs a quality girls lacrosse program!!!!

Speak for yourself. We are at MC now and getting great coaching and an overall awesome experience.

Yale commit from that year was recruited in 8th grade and went to Visi, the Dartmouth commit and Georgetown commit are from another strong private high school. This particular private high school team is sending 2 to Dartmouth, and 1 to Georgetown.

So it’s likely that their HS coaches had at least as much, if not more, to do with where these players are going to college than MC Elite. Which is fine but prospective MC Elite club members should know that up front.

Me again. The same could be said for any club so if you’re a public school parent like me, you really need to be aware of this.

Maybe you just need to bite the bullet and enroll your daughter in private school if you are so hyped up about early commits and recruiting.

My public HS daughter is doing quite well, thank you very much, with recruiting, but it’s disingenuous to claim that a girl who plays lax for a mid-tier club club and also plays for a school like Visi is getting recruited by Dartmouth or Georgetown bc of the club.

And what club are you with? Why are you so obsessed with this? It was entertaining at first, but now you come across as a bit of a cray cray. I guess this is what club lacrosse is all about?

I'm the 2nd poster and our daughter is actually on one of the teams that keeps getting slammed. She's happy and so we her parents are happy. In fact, most of the parents and girls on the team are very happy AND I have to tell you that I haven't heard of any great level of unhappiness.

So perhaps there are a lot of people out there being quiet at practice and on the list serve and choosing to let it all hang out here OR there is one poster posting a lot. And that poster may or may not have some team affiliation. Who knows. This is all anonymous. But our daughter is much happier here on MC Elite than she was on another team so I think we're going to stick it out despite the naysayers here.

Just sayin'...
