This is a good look for her.

That’s four years and at least 20 pounds ago.

I really liked her style as First Lady much better!

+1
Michelle's FLOTUS clothes were awesome and appropriate, more than can be said of certain others.

You mean what she is wearing these days as a millionaire socialite?

Living their best life in Italy!

You know what? You may laugh but this still seems like a happy couple having a good time and looking foxy and fine while doing it. Yeah, Michelle's gained a little weight in the last few years. It's been a hard few years for us all.

This outfit is neither foxy nor fine. It is ill fitting and looks like it was just pulled out of a suitcase without a thought to steaming it. It is doing horrible, despicable things to her stomach area.

I don’t think it would be possible to find a more unflattering pair of pants or top for that matter. But hey, she does look happy so there’s that.

Stunningly ugly and lacking in class. We DONT want to see what you got under there. As usual Obsmalooks great.

That angle makes that outfit look extremely uncomfortable. Like the top is falling down or too loose, and the pants are a bit too long.

Love love this color. I think she’s dressed for comfort in these kinds of outfits. Also aren’t “pajama” suits for women going to be the rage this fall?

I like this one too. I can't tell if it makes her look a little heavier than she is (and hence a bit unflattering) or if she's just gained weight and it's perfectly flattering. But it's got nice flow and sheen.

I think she's gained some weight. I love this fancy pajama suit - sincerely. I really do think she's having a great time with her clothes and I'm enjoying it too.

Love the color, but that is about it. Pajama suits are one of those things that look ok on a fashion model on the runway, but doesn't translate well for anyone else to wear. Maybe if it had a more structured belt. And the earrings are way too big.

This is from the 2019 Grammys. I love the color on her. It’s a good color for shiny and sparkly.

This outfit doesn't look great here, but part of it is that she slouches. Not sure if this is generally true, but growing up I knew several very tall black girls who felt awkward and seemed to slouch to minimize their height around shorter people (I'm a short black girl, lol). Not sure if she slouches constantly, but she's definitely doing it here. I'm sure it looked better in person.

I like Michelle Obama, her personality and self-confidence. That said no, she is not a fashion icon! Those gold outfits and the weird Grammy pajama pants don't do it for me.

She looks like a very festive ballon, especially on the left pic.

Is it recent?

Anonymous wrote:She has the most ghetto taste

It’s odd you say that. I am mixed and can say with certainty 95% of my black female family members love Michelle’s outfits. These outfits. Her after the WH outfits. And they don’t consider her taste ghetto.

I think that's a racist thing to say. I do think that there are cultural components to how much "flash" people like in their clothes. In my experience, Latina and AA women like a little more color and spark, more makeup and more done hair, as do Middle Eastern women. But there's even cultural distinctions within white Americans -- Southern women and women from Texas definitely like more color and more makeup than women from New England or the Pacific Northwest, for instance. That's fine -- we don't all need to look like cookie cutters and we can all learn something from a diversity of styles.

Show me a Latina First Lady in any country who wears such flashy, and often tasteless clothes.

Runway To Nobel Peace Prize Award Ceremony – Michelle Obama In Calvin Klein

We have seen Michelle Obama wear many designers, but for the first time today she wore Calvin Klein.

This look was worn to the Nobel Peace Prize Award Ceremony, where President Barack Obama accepted the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize at the Oslo City Hall in Norway.

The First Lady wore a chartreuse laser cut velvet dress and laser cut velvet jacket from the Fall 2009, but her two piece were custom-made.

I love the look without the coat, in which she wears metallic kitten heels, a Nina Ricci cardigan *ducks* and a stunning necklace.

I don’t think they are; can you explain what’s wrong with them?

She wore this gold dress when President Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace prize.

Other than the white dress, I don't like any of the outfits posted here. They look frumpy.

Not sure when was this, but very cute.
