Me, too! |
Argh it is not recent although I’d never seen it before. Naeem Khan for the PP who asked. https://www.marieclaire.com/celebrity/g32805107/michelle-obama-best-outfits/ |
There's a time for sensible heels, not when wearing designer dresses at speaking events when you are being photographed. You can't call someone a "fashion icon" in those shoes! |
Lol!! |
Yes you can. I’m tired of watching women being helped up and down stairs or even onto the talk show host’s stage (pre-covid) b/c of the inability to walk in heels. And you can be fashionable without feet: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.instyle.com/celebrity/amputee-model-lauren-wasser-tss%3famp=true https://www.health.com/fitness/kanya-sesser-model-legs-skateboarder?amp=true Icon status pending. |
Fashionable yes, but I stand by my statement. Sensible shoes don't make an icon..Those shoes look dated. |
Don't be ridiculous. |
They go with the outfit. Another word for dated—timeless: Jackie wore flats all the time and her fashion icon status is undisputed. |
You are wrong. Jackie's style is timeless because every element consistently worked together including her personality and her body type. Michele is not wearing flats (that would be wonderful actually) - but some medically safe heel in a terrible nude color (which doesn't look nude on her, but off-white). Her hair is some sort of a layered shag - not quite working with that structured pattern and lace. Seriously far from timeless and far from a fashion icon. |
The faux fashion icon never got criticized for this debacle, but every clueless fashion commenters on DCUM has something bad to say about Kellyanne's white jumpsuit.
Is it time for a "Who wore it better?" thread? |
