Will NC be blue in 2020? |
She seems to be doing great work in that district. I think she is going to be hard to unseat. She really connects with the people. Lots and lots of events and meetings with constituents. |
Trump won by 3.67% so it's certainly possible. |
I am hoping for the state to turn Blue too! |
1. People hate Trump 2. Republicans are old and many have died 3. Some young people have come of voting age 4. NC is growing, most new residents are college educated Trump is going to have a tough time winning it again. |
North Carolina will definitely be in play in the presidential election, and their Democratic governor is popular and I don’t think will have trouble getting reelected. Also, their current gerrymander has 10 Republicans and three Democrats in Congress, and the new redistricting will probably change that to seven Republicans and six Democrats. |
Denny Heck (D-WA) is retiring. Huge thanks and applause to him for heading up DCCC recruitment for the last two elections.

Carpetbagger alert: Marjorie Greene, a Republican who has been running in Georgia’s 6th District to try to unseat Democratic incumbent Lucy McBath, has now pulled out of that race and filed to run for Graves’ vacant seat in the 14th. Jon Ossoff was crucified by Republicans when he ran for the 6th while living a few blocks outside of its border. Here’s how far the 14th is from the 6th: ![]() |
He may win, but is a Trump supporter? |
I don't get why the R's are cool with dynasties...when they are on THEIR side. Otherwise, OMG - no more Clintons or Kennedys! |
Not sure but you could easily win the R primary on name recognition alone - there are like a dozen people running. |
A very strong Republican opponent for one of the most vulnerable Democratic seats just dropped out. In Utah’s 4th Congressional district, State Senator Dan Hemmert (R), the GOP frontrunner to take on freshman Rep. Ben McAdams (D), has ended his run for the seat. Despite raising $445,000 last quarter, Hemmert said he decided while campaigning he'd rather have more time for family and business, and stay in the State Senate. McAdams has already said he’s voting to impeach Trump.
