Atlantic article on college admissions

It is amazing to me that a kid that is taking Calculus class in high school qualifies as special needs or twice exceptional.
Truly amazing.

In my day kids taking Calculus in high school were considered advanced or in the accelerated program, they were not special needs.

It seems like the monies going to support these bogus programs should be targeted to those who truly are special needs, like the kid where even getting a bagger job out of high school would be a stretch.

This. Make it fair for kid and make it fair for the kid whose parents don't have the money for the psych assessment.
