What’s his motive?

No clue. But he knew the location of the car and has a history of violence against women.

The cops could've very easily told Jay the location of the car in the Off the record interview. It's clear Jay was fed a timeline by police. Jay recently admitted there was no Best Buy murder/trunk pop. It was made up to match the cell tower records. His girlfriend Stephanie said she didn't believe Adnan did it and that Jay never told her Adnan killed Hae until after he was arrested.

Jen also had several contradictions in her testimony. She says she first found out about Hae's disappearance from a news report on TV. She also says Jay told her Adnan killed Hae the day of and she helped dispose evidence. Which is it?

Did the cops use Jay and Jen's purported drug dealing to minors (high school kids) as leverage to coerce them into being state's witnesses against Adnan?

Why was none of Adnan or Jay's DNA found on Hae's body or trunk of car? Jay says they disposed evidence, drove her car, and buried her together. Why were Adnan and Jay arrested and taken down to the police station as suspects/persons of interest and Don wasn't? Don was questioned by detectives at his job with his mother present. I think Don's DNA needs to be examined. From what we know now, it appears his time card for Jan 13th was completely forged. He had the day off

I think Jay killed her as well now, after listening to the podcast and the watching the documentary

all signs lead to Jay

I would contact one of those university with a law program and have a group of students dissect this case.

Isn't that the case with a group of Georgetown law students. They helped freed a convicted felon wrongfully placed in there for over 20 years.

Due to the podcast and then the HBO doc, they've actually gotten a lot of professional help.

It’s Jay or his girlfriend.
But wasn’t the motion to reopen or appeal denied recently (past few months). We’ll never know the truth...

This. There will be no justice in this case.

Where is Stephanie? Who did she become in life?

Also, Alonzo Sellers seems so suspicious. The nude charges and location of his residence to the school. The distance to urinate.

All of that.

I just caught the tv show never saw the podcast. How interesting reading all these comments.

Good question on Stephanie.

What is this in reference too? I follow this pretty closely and this isn't ringing any bells for me.

Also, the friend that spoke to him for 7 hours she was fishy, VERY VERY FISHY, one she was giggly the entire time, when compared to all her friends, this was a serious matter and no one seemed the bit happy. She asked about Don she was bashful as if she had an interest for him, then when asked at the end if she thought Adnan was the murder, she was also asked with Don in that same sentence, she says in smile tone “Adnan is 100% not”, what makes her so sure and everyone else is debating?

After watching last night's show, March 24th, I find it really, really hard to believe that he's guilty. Would love to hear from someone who disagrees, and why?

Who do you think did it, and how did Jay know everything?

I used to think he was innocent after listening to Serial. Now I'm leaning towards guilty, but not 100%. I think the idea cited earlier in this thread - that he was going to pay Jay to do it and it got messed up, so he did it or they did it together - is very likely. He can't say that now, because he's still holding out hope he will be found innocent, but is furious that Jay went free. There are just too many inconsistencies in Adnan's story (that he and Jay didn't know each other well when they obviously did, asking Hae for a ride, whether he was actually at track / the mosque that day, the cell records) for him to have not been involved. And Jay knew too much - but had no motive without Adnan.

The only other possibility to me seems like Don, her current boyfriend - but he had no motive.

How do we know Don didn't have a motive? Do you think they spent more than 2 seconds looking at him?

The private investigators seemed to confirm his alibi. They said it would have been impossible to doctor the time cards after the fact. Also, they interviewed his coworkers that day. You would also have to explain how Jay and Jen knew so much without a massive conspiracy.

I understood it as someone clocked him in and out even though he wasn’t actually at work. A coworker stated he saw Don with cut, scratches and bandages on his hands after (day after maybe) Hae went missing.

His mom was the manager at the store he worked at that day, by the way...

Obviously, she wanted to distance herself from the case, but I, too, want to know what happened to her. I hope she is happy and well.

Hopefully DNA results come back to lead them in the right direction.
