No, and it doesn't show the EDP players that part of the training group. Like I said, Spirit has 28 the same way BRYC has 30. They are there in their Spirit gear with the carrot of being a part of the DA program. You can package it however you want.

Ok. You’re just wrong then. EDP is not USSDA. Check the site. Thanks for playing.

You are misrepresenting what Spirit is selling them. Yes, BRYC is making them feel more a part by listing them, but there's really a core group of the same players that always play and always start, just like at Spirit. The rest go to ODSL, just like the rest of your 28 go to EDP.

So it's the same style of program, just packaged differently. But apparently you think this is all a game. It's sad for all those players at both clubs that are being used as practice players - Spirit and BRYC both.

I never said BRYC 03 played in a futsal league. All I mentioned was that the two teams played each other in futsal. Imagine that.

No BRYC 03 team played Futsal against anyone... They don't have a team.

BRYC does not do Futsal 15+ so not sure who you played....

Washington Spirit Academy - Virginia U-16/17
games played 13
wins 0
Goal difference -45
Conference position. Last

BRYC 03 ECNL
Games played 18
Wins 15
Goal difference 34
Conference position 1st

Are WSVA the worst team in the DA Nationally?

A quick text to a parent on that team cleared up this issue, her kid has never played a Futsal game for BRYC and has not played Futsal this year.

Someone looks silly.....

WS VA 16/17 is the worst team in the US soccer development academy.

1 point in 13 games.

Wow. You certainly cleared up the futsal issue. You want to text the rest of the team to figure out who was there?

No, it’s really not the same. The Spirit case was due to the DA structure of combining age groups. This necessitated some kids they wanted to retain for the future/stay for EDP this gap year instead of being rostered on the DA team. The problem goes away this year with the addition of the u16 group. The BRYC team has no such combined age group issue. That’s definitely a case of “overselling” to the kids and parents to make some extra cash. Don’t project, and make sure you understand. If you could point to anywhere close to 30 on Spirit _DA_roster, you would have a case. You can’t and you don’t. But point well taken in the BRYC situation.

WSVA hanging their hats on futsal wins and fluke preseason friendly wins. No wonder they take so much crap on here.

Did PP say their record was because of the stiff competition in GDA vs ECNL? Oh man....

Did any Spirit 03s attend a BRYC ID session?

I heard Larry Best was out at Spirit VA ID session talking to the Spirit coaches. I wonder how much he will be involved with the DA part of the organization.

No, it was because Spirit doesn't turn anyone away. The rumor is next year, they will have smaller rosters. We shall see. For two years though, Spirit has accepted anyone and everyone.

And the gap year argument is silly because there is an 04 only team right now plus multiple 04 EDPers. It would have made sense if the EDP team had been mostly 03s. It's not. There are 28 players in the 04 group.
