Ignore the note. Its within the bounds of normal behavior and they chose to live in adjoining units where slillover noise is expected

Then y’all are selfish inconsiderate a$$holes. Own it.

Grinding coffee beans at 5 am is not in any way, shape or form “normal behavior” at 5 am. Unless you care about no one but yourself, then of course it is.

We live in a house and are up at 5am to take kids to practice, then head out to exercise ourselves.

Nothing inconsiderate about us!

Update:

After a couple weeks of “being considerate”, our neighbor continued to leave periodic notes that we were disturbing him in the mornings. At this point, we decided to ignore him since no grinding or smoothies were taking place. Whatever he heard wasn’t us.

Found out that a few days ago we missed the big psychotic break he had according to neighbors. All we know is that 911 was called and he was ranting to police before an ambulance took him away. He has not returned.

If earplugs can drown out loud appliances, wouldn't they also drown out a smoke alarm? That sounds dangerous to me. How about we all act decently when we live in communal housing...and that means not running hair dryers, vacuum cleaners, blenders and loud coffee grinders early in the morning or late at night.

I wear earplugs every night. Trust me, they don't drown out a smoke alarm.
