Growing up in NE PA called them sliding boards. Been in DC for 20 years. We call them just "slides" now. I wonder when I switched? I really never realized I switched but I did. Oh well. I'm 45 from VA now.

When I was very little I called it a sliding board in WV, with parents from PA. I am 44. Changed to slide at some point. My WV peers all called it a slicky-slide, but even at age 5 that struck me as moronic.
