My childhood best friend had this exact same recurring nightmare about a witch poking her belly with her finger and draining her blood! Can't have been GOT since this was maybe 1990... weird! |
These earthbound bad guy spirits, are they bound to the place they died? |
I get this question a lot. I would love for other empaths and mediums to jump on and share their experiences! It's interesting how differently people can perceive the same thing. Everyone reads energy differently. Everyone sees spirits differently. Mediums use their "clairs" to "see" spirits. Clairvoyance is clear seeing, but not necessarily with your eyes. I "see" spirits in my minds eye. They usually present themselves to me in a way that my client will recognize. For example, I might see an older lady with gray hair and a red dress for a client. The spirit isn't wearing physical clothes. But the dress probably has some significance for the client. Maybe she is holding a purple feather. It may not make sense to me, but it likely will hold meaning for a client. (That's actually a real example. The client and her great, grandmother found a bright purple feather on a beach.) Claircognizance is clear knowing. You can't explain why you know something, you just do. I think most people have this ability. We ignore it way too often. This happened to me before 9/11 for example. I knew something awful was going to happen. In my dream, it was a terrible plane crash. I saw planes and buildings and fire. I didn't get any information that would have been useful. But I did "know" something was off. Same thing happened to me before the Las Vegas concert shootings. I dreamed something terrible happened in the desert. In my dream, I heard symphonic music. I didn't know it was going to be a shooting. I just knew something terrible was going to happen in the desert and that it involved music. Again, not enough to help anyone. But I knew. Clairaudience is clear hearing. Sometimes I can hear a spirit talking to me. Sometimes it's words. Often it's music or tones. Religious people will often talk about the "still, small voice of God". That's clairaudience. Clairsentience is clear feeling. You actually feel what your client feels. This is my strongest clair. I can feel pain when another person is sick or hurt. A really simple example - Trey Gowdy is sick. He may not even realize it. But I can feel it when I look at him, even on television. It's either heart or lung. It feels like it may be mostly stress and anxiety (at least I hope that's all it is). It feels like heaviness in my chest When my sister went into labor three weeks early, I knew it before she told anyone. And we were living overseas. I felt it in my abdomen. I called my mother before she did. When my son broke his arm at school, I was already in the car driving to the school when the nurse called me. I felt it in my arm. I woke up at 2am with searing pain in my ankle. We were about to head to the ER when it went away as quickly as it came. My grandmother died at 2:14am. We found out the next morning. From a blood clot in her ankle. Some people even smell or taste things that spirits want them to know about. Perfume is super common. Most empaths use a combination of clairs, but we usually have some that are stronger than others. Also, spirits can present themselves in different ways. It's not easy for them to manipulate things in our physical environment. Just like it's hard for us to perceive things in theirs. We have to meet them in the middle most of the time. They can look like shadows, mists, lights, orbs, outlines, sometimes you'll see a full body for just a millisecond, sometimes just a face,... Loved ones will try to appear as we remember them. Most of the time I feel a spirit before I ever see it. Keep in mind that if you are trying to contact a deceased loved one and they know you will be scared by their presence, they aren't going to pop up in front of you. They are much more likely to send you signs. Watch for anything that repeats in your environment. Watch for objects that are not in their ordinary place - maybe a feather in an apartment complex, for example. Watch for strange behavior in your electronics. Or subtle changes in temperature. My grandmother loves to send smells. And it always makes me smile. |
I don't think they are. At least not in my experience. I had a client who had a ghost that they thought was attached to their house. It was actually attached to a piece of furniture she purchased at an antique store. |
How do I find a real medium to visit and not just “fortune teller” on the side of the road? My experience has been good ones don’t advertise |
OMG!!!! Do you ever buy antiques, PP? |
So you should burn sage around all antique furniture you buy in addition to the house? Serious question. |
Another question for the very kind medium on this forum -- have any pets ever appeared to you?
I say this because the day after I had to put my beloved pet to sleep after 18 years, I was walking in the woods near the National Cathedral (Olmstead Walk). I was crying so much, as he was my closest companion. I was married with young children at the time, but my pet and I had been together long years prior to my marriage and starting a family. Other pet lovers will understand. As I walked, I saw a huge tuft of white fur on the path. He was a huge white cat. I like to believe that it was a sign from him. Do you have any insights? |
I’ve often wondered about this. I have an old 1930’s floor model radio that I’ve had for decades. In my early 20’s I lived in an old apartment (1930’s-40’s era) that I always thought was haunted. I never saw anything, but I sometimes hear strange sounds-water running when no faucets were on, etc. and would often get a creepy feeling. The apartment after that was also of the same era but didn’t give me the same creepy feeling. Then I got a cat, and the cat would routinely go and sit in the apartment entry way near where I kept the radio and stare at empty space. Sometimes he would tense up and hop around like he saw something. I also started feeling uneasy at times coming in the entry way of that aprtment. That was when I started wondering about the radio. I got married, moved to a 50’s rambler in another state, and then now to a 40’s colonial. I still have the radio but no creepy feelings anymore. But I think my current house has/had the spirit of the original owner in it. When we first moved in and I was spending a lot of time by myself stripping wallpaper and painting, I would get a peaceful feeling and would sometimes talk to her. We’ve been in the house a few years and that energy has faded. So I guess my question is, do spirits inhabiting furniture change when the item is moved from apartment to apartment or house to house? Does the house effect the force of the energy in the piece? |
I said it before but checkout yelp. You may laugh but it's true. Doesn't look to be that many around here. Around LA there are plenty: https://www.yelp.com/search?find_desc=Psychic+Mediums&find_loc=Los+Angeles%2C+CA&ns=1 |
OP, all I'd say is don't just block it out but ask about it calmly with specific questions. If your child is going through it, ignoring it won't help them be comforted. I am catholic (born and raised) and don't believe whole heartedly in the catholicism either, but believe in some sort of non-physical form (call it spirits or whatever). I know atheists who believe in this stuff. As I said, religion has NOTHING to do with spirituality. People confuse/conflate the two all the time. There are spiritual people who don't believe the first thing about organized religion and there are religious people who believe this stuff is nonsense. |
I think this is the answer. |
Medium here - If you ever have the chance to visit Cassedaga, Florida (google it), you'll find some fantastic mediums! Otherwise, the best advise is to use your intuition. If you are looking at a list of mediums, does one jump out at you? If you walk by the office, do you feel pulled to visit? I wanted to get a reading from a well-known, well-respected psychic in New Orleans. But when I went into her store, I just didn't get a good feeling. That doesn't mean she wasn't the real deal. She just wasn't the right person for me. You should know in advance how much she charges. Anyone that tries to sell you additional information is a fraud. Walk away. There should be no "for an additional $50, I can...." . That's a con artist, not a psychic. A psychic will explain that predicting the future is impossible. We always have free will. A reader can tell you likely outcomes should you continue on the same path, but you can always, always, always change your future. There shouldn't be parlor tricks or moaning. No moving tables or ridiculous flashing lights Everything should be very straightforward. It will feel more like a therapy session than anything else. |
All you have to do is say, "If you ate from the light, you are welcome. If not, GO.!" |
Sleep with her for a few nights- you might get an idea of what she is actually seeing. You can finish this quickly. |
