If in MS, the 2023 team is very good. But 2024 and 2025 team is very average. My son plays on the 25s and our coach also coaches the 24s. In my opinion, neither team will really get better until the head coach decides to coach only one team. Splitting time between the two teams only hurts the teams.

New to travel lacrosse. Is it normal to coach multiple teams? or is this just a Next Level thing? Wouldn't that cause conflicts especially with different tournaments and league schedules?

It is a huge issue. They don't have enough coaches and some of them are frankly unqualified.

Wow. Thanks for the info. I thought the PG teams were essentially the B teams. From the website, it doesn't look like they will have the same opportunities to play in the elite tournaments.

Poor Cabel, are you getting a little nervous knowing the new kid has pulled even and is pulling ahead because they are better run with better reputations? The web site doesn't say that at all. The PG club never played in those tournaments but now at least they have a chance and will have more opportunities as the club stabilizes. That's a little different than re-branding a dying club's team and kicking your own teams to the curb. How'd that work out for this year's tryouts? I'm sure that made the parents happy.

You really need to take it down 100 notches. I've seen you name this Cabel person several times and I'm sorry but I don't know or care who that is. You are also incorrect as it relates to the tournaments. The PGLC teams were at tournaments in the fall and summer. I know because my son's team played against them.

Your favorite color is purple.... no wait... your not a Gonzaga dad, okay blue.

Cabel is the only club owner who has a 2019 team with every single kid committed to a college... most high D1, many elite universities.

Perhaps you should read the article posted in Deadspin or google "ungrateful quitter" and then tell me if parents should know or care. Yes, it's probably not him on the site but it's probably parents or kids who are fanboys. I like that the poster is chasing them away from what should be constructive feedback of another club rather than lax bro chest puffing.

That's fantastic. Now go start a thread to that end or back to the "Any MadLax parents here? " thread. This is a feedback thread on NL.
Or let me educate the thread on what a great person the owner of Madlax is:

Did Next Level make cuts for their 2023 & 2024 B teams? Or just move some A players from last years team to B to make room for new players?

I really enjoyed that deadspin article when it came out, but that was five years ago. Is there any evidence that the Madlax guy continues to be abusive to players and families? If he's learned from his mistakes, I don't really think it's fair to keep holding his past sins against him.
