Ways you upped your game in life

I hired a cleaning service to come every two weeks. Freed up so much more time to spend with my kids. DH and I tidy up every day or so in between.

Bought a fantastic magnifying light-up makeup mirror. It's kind of harsh at first to face reality magnified, but I have never looked better. My makeup looks airbrushed now because I can see everything better, blend better, tweeze better, etc.

I could have written this word for word. Now if only could only stop the smelly breath.....

Downloaded Waze and check for the best route for my commute in the morning. That app has added years to my life. I am so much less stressed in the morning.

Started filling a large, insulated water bottle with ice only in the morning and drink the icy cold water as it melts all day.

Started using my Fitbit again and upped my step goal by 2009 steps. I am feeling stronger and am resting better at night. I have found the Fitbit to be a wonderful motivator to get up and move throughout the day.

Anonymous wrote:I am a black thumb city person. Started a garden reno and plant pretty things. Hated it at first, but over couple of years it grew on me so much that it became the best way to relax. It is very peaceful activity and garden forums are so friendly, I enjoy interacting with people there.
I stopped pushing myself to other people standards (read "rat races") and distanced myself from toxic competitive "friendships". I don't need to hear "oh, you renovated your kitchen? I have to top it when I redo mine!"
I choose people who talk to my very heart, whom I click with, and things that make me smile - $$$$ and not at all.
I started running with my faithful partner, my dog, go out with a few but real friends who will take a bullet for me (mutual), and devote more time to my BF.
Life became good.

Which gardening forums do you go to? I'd love to find these

I volunteered as roaming photographer at my 5 year old son's Vacation Bible School (VBS). I have now become more involved in the church where he attends private Kinder. I see myself and my husband making a very valuable change by becoming members and attending the weekly services with our son in the Kids' Church. Considering some of the challenges in today's world, this has been the one change we really needed to make happen. We are meeting people with higher standards in the basics like good character and grace.

Took a telework position for a European company (more time off, very employee friendly).

Moved to the outskirts of Montgomery county.

Spend less time on DCUM, especially the mean spirited threads.

I set up an alert on Indeed.com (gathers job postings from many different sites). The alert had my field (legal clinical research), minimum salary requirement, and the keywords words virtual, remote or telework. I wasn't targeting Europe, but as soon as I saw the listing I knew it was the one for me. I travel to Europe for a meeting once a year.
